To be sure, this would carry more than a few historical ironies, as Rather was part of CBS. But I just saw Truth yesterday and feel like I've just gotten religion on Dan Rather.
Man, he was a great anchor, and the country lost someone special when he was driven out in 2004 by Karl Rove and friends.
The movie confirms what many of us strongly suspected-that Rather and Mary Mapes were driven out to protect the election chances of George W. Bush.

Nor is this in anyway a story with just historical interest at this point in time which is shown by the way that Rove and Fox News have tried to discredit Truth.
CBS clearly sees the shameful light it puts on its own actions which is why it refuses to air ads for the movie. As it was I wasn't able to watch Truth where I usually see movies at Loew's in Levittown. Me and my main man Kev had to go to s smaller theater out in Deer Park to see Truth.
