One More Reason to Love New Jersey

As a New Yorker they're our neighbors and much as I loathe to admit it, my Giants play there. But here's where I feel like I can really bond with New Jersey folks:

"They don't seem to like Chris Christie either."

"Poll: Majority of N.J. voters say Christie should quit White House race."

"If he doesn't leave the race, a plurality said he should leave state office instead."

Yes, sort of like Marco Rubio. Alan Grayson was on Chris Hayes last night and he agrees with the local Florida papers-Rubio should resign the Senate as he's clearly lost interest in it.

Think about it-why is he staying in a job that bores him? Maybe for the paycheck. But probably because it looks good on his resume in running for President.

In both the cases of Chrisite and Rubio it kind of makes me think of a man dating a woman and assuring her is ex wife was a fool-who cares what she says? If Chrisite and Rubio will dismiss the will of their state constituents what makes us think they will respect the will of the nation as President?

"More than six-in-10, or 61 percent, of all voters in the latest Quinnipiac University poll conducted in the state said that Gov. Chris Christie should abandon his White House bid and return full-time to Trenton. Just 33 percent said Christie, who polled fourth among Republican presidential candidates in the survey, should stay in the race. Even among Republicans, just 53 percent said Christie should stay in the race, while 40 percent said he should call it a day when it comes to his presidential ambitions."

"If he doesn't leave the race, a plurality said he should leave state office instead

"Approximately 63 percent said that the campaign is distracting Christie from issues at home, while 33 percent again said that the trail was not a distraction. Just 42 percent of Republicans called it a distraction, compared to 79 percent of Democrats."

On the other hand, I think if I were a NJ resident I'd have some mixed feelings: if he's in the state he has more time to shut down another bridge.

Christie also has something in common with Jeb-he, too, is not doing at all well in his own state.

"Meanwhile, Manhattan business mogul Donald Trump crushed the field with 31 percent, followed by Ben Carson at 16 percent, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 15 percent and Christie at 8 percent. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz trailed the home-state governor with 7 percent, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina with 4 percent each. Other candidates received 1 percent support or less, with 6 percent undecided."

"The latest numbers come as Christie is relegated to Tuesday's undercard Fox Business debate in Milwaukee after failing to earn an average of 2.5 percent in four polls selected by the network as part of its inclusion criteria."

Ok, I admit I quoted that last paragraph just to read about Christie being at the Kid's Table again.

Chris Chrsitie is first in one poll-my own personal poll of one. He is my least favorite Republican running for President. Which is saying something. The only one close is Carly Fiorina.

Obviously my favorite is Trump-and then: Dr. Ben Carson. Third is Ted Cruz. I think anyone of these fine men make excellent Republican nominees!

P.S. I know Christie has been praised for his talk on addiction. Yes, he sounded very compassionate there but it makes me think of the last compassionate conservative we had.
