This just about says it all regarding the whole problem of the GOP in the post Newt era. I know, some GOPers will probably come back and complain that Hillary refused to name a Republican candidate she'd consider for VP.
But that's a little different. It relegates her pool of choices to people who are running directly against her and she has to not just work with them but make them her Vice President.
Jindal started off by going after the moderators. He obviously noted that this trick was used in the last GOP main table debate. He scoffed that there's no time for such a silly question.
Of course, the other candidates had to figure out a way to say something in turn just as catty. Predictably Christie talked about-yep, beating Hillary Clinton. We know he didn't cheat for this exam as every question has the same response.
Indeed he used his time to criticize the Democrats for disrespecting the police. He claimed that Hillary doesn't want to take the same stage as him as he will debate and 'prosecute' her.
And, I'm sure, shutdown her lane on the bridge to the debate and make her late.
Ok, I just found a direct quote of the response
"The Wall Street Journal's Gerald Seib asks the candidates to name a Democrat in Congress they admire. They don't."
Jindal: “I think this is why people got frustrated by the last debate, with these silly questions.”
Huckabee: “Since we’re not going to answer the question, let me remind everybody that tomorrow is Veterans Day.”
Christie: “I think the thing that disturbs me most about the Democratic Party – that they’re not standing behind police officers.”
Santorum: “We need to get the federal government out of this infrastructure business.”
Santorum proceeds to shout about Democrats into his microphone: “You know why I respect them? Because they fight!
