John Kasich's Suicide Mission

The returns are in and the base seems to agree with the insiders on one thing: Kasich was the big loser last night. I had a piece earlier about how insiders interviewed by Politico think he was the debate's big loser.

Howie Carr last night tweeted that he thought everyone did well last night except-Kasich and Jeb.

For the record Howie thinks Trump won last night as no one came close to knocking him down.

Glen Beck is the one who describes Kasich as on a suicide mission. He did have this kind of wild, half-cocked quality where he kept interjecting and interrupting and insinuating himself in all these conversations. Yet at the end of the night what had he achieved?

"John Kasich, already on the ropes in the GOP primary with his low polling numbers, is now confronting the fallout from the fourth Republican debate, with conservative media thrashing the Ohio governor for soft positions on immigration and bank bailouts."

"Kasich has made no bones about his strain of compassionate conservatism that can ring hollow to evangelical voters and those looking for a true political outsider. But as Tuesday night evolved into a contest of conservative bona fides, Kasich appeared even more out of step with the rest of the GOP field, and came off as edgy, interrupting his rivals throughout the two-hour event."

"Glenn Beck let it rip on Facebook, posting, "EPIC LOSER: John Kasich. Just bad on every front. EPICALLY BAD. Looked rude, old, desperate, cheap, and wildly wrong ON MANY FRONTS. That was a suicide mission on himself."

"On the topic of immigration, Kasich got no love from conservative radio talk show host Laura Ingraham. "How does John Kasich think they are law-abiding? The law-abiding people are the LEGAL immigrants," Ingraham tweeted."

"And Breitbart.com was no more merciful in highlighting one of the lowest points of the night for the Ohio governor: when he was booed by the audience during an exchange with Sen. Ted Cruz over bailing out the nation's largest banks — a topic that helped give rise to the tea party movement."

Well, maybe Kasich's numbers drop further from here-though they're already pretty low. Hopefully he's at the Kid's Table in the next debate and best of all, maybe at the same time the Kid's Table is phased out.

It'd be great to take a President Kasich off the cable much as we have taken a President Scott Walker off and have basically taken a President Chris Christie off.

P.S. For the record there's little real difference between Trump and Kasich on immigration. Kasich is just the typical establishment phony who makes slightly more 'compassionate' noises. Remember the last compassionate conservative we had.

Kasich criticizes Trump yet he too wants to build a wall.

Remember, I'm a Trump Democrat, which basically means I root for the outsiders over the establishment candidates. Every time an establishment figure falls, it's reason for celebration.

Or as Jeb Bush would put it, it's time for Hillary supporters to exchange high fives.

UPDATE:  Ilike Carr's rankings:

"Final rankings: 1) Trump 2) Cruz 3) Carson 4) Paul 5)Fiorina 6) Rubio 7)Bush 8) Kasich."

UPDATE 2.0. I see that Rush was impressed as I was with Jindal's juice box attack on Chris Christie.

While the establishment raved over Christie, a lot of the base seems to have loved the juice box line.

He also thinks Jeb and Kaisch were exposed on immigration and bank reform.

Never before have had opportunities like this to agree with Rush. LOL.
