No Wonder Bernie Wants to Talk About Emails Again

Bernie Maniacs are becoming manically desperate. I recently had a Bernie maniac for some reason tweet me. I hadn't sought him out. But he told me he hopes that the GOPers attack on HRC at their debate hurts her.

That says it all. Bernie claims he's a Democrat-though for 35 years he's said the opposite. But now the Bernie  maniacs are happy to win based on GOP faux scandals. I thought Bernie was this saint for whom butter wouldn't melt in his mouth.

Yet Bernie himself is contemplating bringing up emails tomorrow. I guess he's not sick of them anymore.

"Bernie Sanders’ advisers tell the New York Times that he will go after Hillary Clinton on Saturday night on a range of issues, but only if he’s asked the right questions to prompt it:"

"Mr. Sanders believes it is fair game for him to talk at Saturday’s debate about the federal investigation into her use of a private email server as secretary of state, his advisers said. But he plans to discuss the issue only if he is asked about it, the advisers added, a caveat that seemed meant as a signal to the debate moderators, but that also reflected the vise in which Mr. Sanders has put himself by swearing off negative campaigning."

"As I’ve noted before, the investigation into matters related to the email arrangement is absolutely fair game. The question is whether Sanders is willing to go beyond what is publicly known about the probe to raise voter doubts about Clinton. I doubt it."

I have to say this-he loses a lot of credibility if he does. He shows he's not so different than other politicians and he also goes back on his word-most people watching it thought he meant it's not fair game. I don't agree with Sargent that it is fair game. I think it hurts Bernie to bring it up. When every public official in the country has used private email, it's not fair game, it's a partisan witch hunt. If Bernie tries to bring up emails it will backfire.

After all, when he said let's forget it, the crowd roared. I don't think his sudden reversal will get that reception.
Whatever happened to Bernie's positive campaign? Well, he's losing. And even on his big issues, Dem voters trust Hillary not, the Bern. Not so many are feeling the Bern.
According to a new CBS/NYTimes poll, Dems trust her more on the economy, reducing the income gap, and changing the tone in Washingon.

As Krugman points out, despite all Bernie's fiery talk about breaking up the banks, Hillary's plan is much less superficial and meaningful.

No wonder he wants to talk about emails now. But doing so I predict would really hurt him. I don''t know what he can do to stop her-I don't think he can. But he really hurts his reputation if he tries emailgate.
