Chris Christie Says Trump Attack on Dr. Ben is not Presidential

Which makes you wonder what Christie would know about being Presidential. I guess his conduct in shutting down a bridge to punish his political enemies is in line with one of our past Presidents-Richard Nixon.

Christie;s traffic problems are far from over. His strategy has been to let his top aides fry for him-Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelley. But they are fighting back and won't go quietly.

In any case, Christie's campaign is stuck in neutral and receding. He has now put all his chips in NH though RCP averages still have him way back in 8th place in NH at 5%.

In more good news-and I really mean it, this is good news-the next GOP debate in late December may have no Kid's Table at all-and so no Chris Christie at all. Merry Christmas.

For that matter, the main debate-probably the only debate this time-will require a 5% polling average. This would rid us of Carly Fiorina's long, humorless filibusters as well as Kasich's hand-wringing and Rand Paul-though I thought he did a little better in the last debate where he nailed Rubio.

Indeed, based on recent polling Jeb would be on the cusp. RCP has him at 6% so for now he should be in.

So I guess Christie most relish the chance to insert himself into a Presidential primary-seeing as he's barely in it himself.

"Chris Christie weighed in on the increasingly bizarre comments Donald Trump has been making about Ben Carson's past."

It's amazing how fast things have changed. A week ago, everyone was talking about Ben's bizarre stories about his past. Now talking about this now is considered to be itself bizarre.

“When you run for president of the United States, everything that comes out of your mouth matters,” Christie said to Ingraham. “I think that kind of stuff is, you know, not the kind of stuff that a candidate for president of the United States should be talking about,” Christie continued.

So there you go. It's alright for Dr. Ben to make up wild stories. It's not ok to point out that they are kind of wild.

So was it Presidential of Christie when he used to have his staff up up him bullying female teachers on YouTube? Did that show the right 'temperament?'

  1. Dr. Carson wants us to pray for Trump, according to Armstrong... and Carson said this too:

"Now that he's completed his gratuitous attack, why don't we press on and deal with the real issues," Carson told reporters in South Carolina before they could ask questions. "That's what the people of America are concerned about, not so much politics as usual, politics of personal destruction -- that's what the American people are sick and tired of."

Trump should press the attack at this point, pointing out how "weak" that response is, ... he should mock him for his response: Perhaps he should say something like

"Pray for me??? Really? Is that what Ben is going to do when Putin or China plays hardball? Prayer?" Then he should drop to his knees in mock prayer.

This opens the door to segway into a Cruz attack... Cruz has stated that nobody is fit to be president unless they spend every morning "on their knees." Here's the quote:

"Any president who doesn't begin every day on his knees isn't fit to be commander-in-chief of this country."

Trump could have a LOT of fun with that... especially with one of those Cruz pics as a prop.

NOT that he shouldn't go equally hard after Rubio... but the "outsider" lane sees both Carson and Cruz (especially Cruz I think) as alternatives to Trump right now, so he should work on destroying them with equal vigor in my view.

I'd love to go to a Trump rally and unfurl a YYYUUUUGE banner saying "GOD BLESS DONALD TRUMP!" exactly at the time he starts mocking Carson again. I'd love to get a chant started at the rally "Why only 12 million, why not 20!?!? Why not 30?"

But seriously... Trump should go after Carson HARD on his stupid immigration plan. He should sign a pledge to deport no less that 12 million illegal rapists, drug dealers, child molesters and other "3rd world scum" and "cultural invaders" (Ann Coulter has already prepared the groundwork there, saying that Mexicans love to rape children). And it makes a beautiful tie in with his other child molester comments about Carson. Maybe he could bring up church sex abuse in one of his rallies. How the perpetrators always seem "so nice" until the ugly truth comes out. He's have to be careful with that for sure... there's a fine line, but I think Trump could pull it off.

He should actively court Coulter and Ingraham. He can do no wrong in their eyes: the more people he wants to deport the better... they'd give him cover on that. He should mock his opponents if they don't sign his pledge. Mock the moderators of the last debate for going easy on Rubio. Mock both Rubio and Cruz for trying to have it both ways... trying to dodge the question... but call them out: if they don't sign folks, don't be fooled!... they're just Amnesty RINOs, no matter how hard they squirm and wiggle and try to snow the public. Don't be fooled! I think the base would LOVE it! They'd go crazy with enthusiasm. Imagine if every right wing media demagogue badgered every other candidate about whether they're prepared to sign Trump's pledge or not. Trump could give them copies of the pledge so they could present it to the other candidates every chance they get... Let the buzz in the comments sections be focused on "Why won't they sign? Not signing is the same as pro-Amnesty!" Trump could drive his competition from the right wing media spot light and soak it all up for himself.

  2. And you're right... Christie has no credibility here! Lol... I'm really hoping things get a lot nastier in the near future on the right.

Is Ingraham still a Trumpette to the core? Does she still think Donald is #1?

  3. Also, I notice people keep talking about "low information" voters... I've written about them too, but considering the gigantic ratings of these debates so far, I wonder if that's really true?

  4. BTW, Carson should refer to Trump as "Dr. Trump" and his "diagnosis of me" ... that would be effective mockery of the Donald on this... as it happens it makes me laugh... Trump's logic on this is admittedly ridiculous... how does HE know that "pathological" is a life time "disease." Lol... too funny!

It's like a beautiful fountain of stupid... a fountain of raw sewage.

  5. I think we should have a poll... who in America wants to see the next GOP debate in the typical format?... or would you prefer each candidate to be armed with a raw sewage canon... and then they just go for it? Lol.

  6. Also, I have to confess I actually agreed with something Ben Carson said yesterday... maybe I need to go get my head examined!

  7. One more image to round out my fantasy Donald Trump campaign rally... we pass out brown colored jerseys with "DEPORTATION FORCE: VOLUNTEER" emblazoned on them in black Fraktur script letters... maybe with matching hats... and baseball bats waving an even mix of US and Confederate battle flags.

Then everyone marches around at night with torches... drums beating, spotlights trained on the sky in a dazzling display of STRENGTH and POWER! A triumph of the will, so to speak. Lol.

  8. Also, I have no problem with Rubio... if he wants to get to the right of Trump on immigration. Maybe he will sign a pledge to deport 30 million rapist/pedophile/drug dealer/Mexicans instead of just 11, and confiscate all their property as well. Shoot, let's do the same for Muslims, Hindus and Asians. Or perhaps enslave them as that radio host in Iowa proposed.

Rubio seems pretty flexible. Shoot, Trump is pretty flexible... it wasn't that long ago that Trump was criticizing Romney's self deportation idea as too extreme.

Let's get these candidates saying some really really vile right wing things and then get them to proudly sign their names to it.

I'd like to see support for the GOP among Hispanics drop to less than 1%... regardless of the candidate.

The pressure (and resistance) to move to the right will give Ann Coulter something to rage about, and that will increase her book sales, so that's all that's really important. How far right will Ann go? Sky's the limit, right? Same for the rest of her ilk. Maybe we can ban all but approved fundamentalist Protestant Christians for immigration consideration while we're at it. Maybe Ann can devise a "swarthiness index" to test people with... or perhaps we can bring back phrenology. As long as there's some new gasp producing position to be taken to the right, the party can continue to eat itself... and this is how cynical pundits make a handsome living.

It must really tick off the 158 billionaire families that fund our political campaigns that an even smaller number of right wing media giants have hijacked their cynical right-wing "revolution."

You might even think that the "donor" class will start to play dirty to get the political party they paid a fortune for back again... maybe a dead prostitute will turn up in Limbaugh's trunk for example.

  9. I have a problem with Rubio. He still has the image of being more reasonable. He was in the Gang of Eight initially. He is being pulled to the Right.

But I worry if his talent for flexilibity is too good. I don't think many Latinos will be fooled by him but what about the mushy middle 'independents' who just want a mean between too extremes?

This is why I want to see the establishment candidates go down.they really are more electable not because of policy but because they know more about what not to say

    ReplyDelete
  10. On the other hand, the abiliity of a Rubio to go back to teh Center will be greatly compromised thanks to Trump and friends and the longer this goes on the worst it will be.

The whole brand is being hurt, I agree. Still ideally, I'd love to see a nonestablishment guy make it-Trump, Carson ,Cruz. Trump is my first choice but these other two would be great.

In fact Carson might be the best in terms of the GOP running a joke on its ticket.

  11. O/T: Paris attacks: This may sound pretty Orwellian, but I predict more of these suicide attacks (I call them "faith attacks")... and I think we're going to see surveillance used to counter them... networks of cameras everywhere and automated terror plot detection algorithms used to identify when one is likely to start... so that security forces can be deployed in such a way to thwart them before many victims are claimed.

I don't think the technology exists yet, but I predict that it will. This will also identify suspicious activities of all kinds... child abductors, burglars, bank robbers, car jackers, drug dealers etc.

  12. Well at this point ISIS and the like have been more a day by day threat to Europe then the US. Paris had another attack on those cartoon artists not so long ago.

  13. For the record that previous Paris attack was in January
