She did mention universal care in her victory speech, Monday night.
She has always been for that.

What she didn't say was single payer as the best way to get there is improving on Obamacare.

This gets to a point she has made all along. This has never been a debate about ideology but tactics.
But Bernie tries to make it a debate over ideology. He wants single payer, she doesn't.
Rather than her point that we won't get single payer, and now that we have ACA we should build on that than start over and replace it.
One problem Bernie has with the African-American community is that his way of making huge, undeliverable promises, reminds many folks of a game show.
You know when someone is trying to sell you, they stay away from the weeds, the details, and just focus on making you feel good about the aspirations.
Wouldn't it be great if you got a big, new car? And wouldn't it be great if you won an all expenses paid trip to Bermuda?
And wouldn't it be great if you won 280 million dollars in Mega Millions?
These kinds of pitches focus on aspirations. Just think about how great it would be not how you get there.
When Bernie is asked how he he will achieve single payer he doesn't answer. Instead he says 'Why is it that we are the only major industrialized country in the world, which doesn't have universal healthcare? People need and deserve this!'
Don't worry about how you win the new car just think about it's plush seats, it's shiny exterior, how cool you'd look driving it around.
She has always been for that.
