This is something that hasn't been appreciated. He made fun of Trump misspelling choker but then Rubes spelled it right-rather than as Trump did with the 'u'.
I will say this. I don't see how Rubio wins this thing without winning any states. As long as its proportional I guess he can win some delegates though while falling progressively further behind Trump.
On March 15, though the GOP has its winner take all states. Right now Rubio trails by as much as 20 points in his home state of Florida which is winner take all.
Reince Priebus says that the GOP lets the people decide because they don't have super delegates but this isn''t entirely true. Actually in some ways the GOP race is more biased towards the Establishment pick-or was designed to be anyway.
They just never envisioned a Donald Trump.
But the Dems' proportional system allows the nominating process to go on forever and ever. The GOP can at least get the thing over with. Not that I'm necessarily saying we should do winner take all in the Dem party. There are probably some pluses in the current system.
But if Rubio were to somehow win, that might be a better thing than we Dems have realized. I don't want him to win and do see that his biographical pitch could be formidable but this guy is not strong under pressure. Just see what he did with the choke joke.
See what Christie did to him. He has some real vulnerabilities

Meanwhile Christie won''t be the last Establishment GOPer to go with Trump.

It's not surprising to me that Christie did this. People speculate about what Trump could offer him in an Administration.
I think it's more simple than this even. Sure he hopes so. But throughout his campaign in NH, Christie came to really hate Marco Rubio.
If you've read me for long, you know that I've never been a Chris Christie fan-to say the least.
But as is said 'The enemy of your enemy is your friend.'
I find myself liking Chris Christie.
I argued at the time that the worse thing for Jeb Bush back in SC was Christie dropping out. The NH results had been perfect except for that part. If he had moved on to SC, maybe Jeb would have had a chance to make it a battle between him and Rubio

Marco Rubio's Electile Dysfunction
ReplyDeleteMarco Rubio, distraught over being repeatedly spanked at the polls by Donald Trump, has checked into a medical facility for treatment of his severe electile dysfunction, as well as his continuing premature self-congratulation issues.
