Finally! Trump Goes Birther on Rubio

Have I not been asking for this for a few weeks?

http://lastmenandovermen.blogspot.com/2016/02/trump-needs-to-start-criticizing-rubio.html

I've been saying this for a few reasons.

1. Rubio is the great Establishment hope who has been pushing into second in a number of places lately.

2. Rubio really is especially vile. I mean it's chilling to hear him described as in any way moderate or centrist. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Matt Yglesais is dead right here: Rubio is worse than Trump.

http://www.vox.com/2016/2/20/11067932/rubio-worse-than-trump

I just really don't like Rubio. I think he could possibly be a tougher opponent for HRC on the biography front-as the media will buy into the idea that just because he's young and Latino he has newer and fresher ideas which is the opposite of the truth.

Here is a guy who is still calling for a return of the Cuban embargo.

So it does my heart no little bit of gladness to see Trump finally throwing a little shade on Rubio. He started this on Saturday on Twitter:

"Donald Trump is now raising questions about Marco Rubio’s ability to legally run for president."

"On Saturday, Trump retweeted a tweet that suggested the Florida senator is not a citizen. George Stephanopoulos asked him about it on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday morning."

"Rubio was born in Florida on May 28, 1971. His parents had come to the United States from Cuba in the 1950s. Trump retweeted a tweet on Saturday that suggested both Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz are ineligible to be president."

"There is a lawsuit pending in Broward County, Florida, challenging the eligibility of both Cruz and Rubio — Cruz because of where he was born, Rubio because of where his parents were born. An initial hearing on Michael Voeltz's suit is to be held March 4 in front of Judge John Bowman."

“I think the lawyers have to determine that that — and not— it was a retweet, not so much with Marco. I'm not really that familiar with Marco's circumstances,” Trump said Sunday.

“But then why retweet it?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“Because I'm not sure. I mean, let people make their own determination. I know Ted is being now — I think he's being sued by somebody having nothing to do with me, by the way,” Trump said.

This is how it always starts. At first he's 'not sure.' But he keeps on talking about what he's not sure about.

“You're really not sure that Marco Rubio is eligible to run for president? You're really not sure?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“I don't know. I really — I've never looked at it, George. I honestly have never looked at it. As somebody said, he's not. And I retweeted it. I have 14 million people between Twitter and Facebook and Instagram and I retweet things, and we start dialogue and it's very interesting,” Trump said.

Saturday seemed to be something of an epiphany for Trump. He also tweeted about Rubio's support of amnesty. That is the obvious club to beat Rubio with again and again.

It's shocking that in an electorate that was 75 percent evangelical on Saturday night, he won by 12 points over Ted Cruz.

The question is where do Cruz or Rubio win next? Cruz won't guarantee a win even in his hope state of Texas. A new poll there shows him with just a 5 point lead over Trump.

Talk about 'Houston, we have a problem.' All the more fitting as we're talking about Texas. As for Rubio, it's not clear where his next win comes from.

Trump trouncing Cruz among evangelicals is bad news for Cruz. It's just as bad news for Rubio in a state where he got such big endorsements and there is such a large base of military voters in the state. Trump trouncing Rubio among military voters is just as disquieting as what he did to Cruz with the evangelicals.

Meanwhile a new Massachusetts poll shows Trump up 50-16 over second place Rubio.

Rubio says Florida may be his first win. You know when Florida votes? March 15. That is awfully late to be winning your first primary.

    1. BTW, it's funny: whenever I go to some sort of right wing fruitcake site like Breitbart, on my old, underperforming home laptap, my machine is brought to its knees by all the chump-ware running there (click bait and whatnot). It's a target rich environment for chump hunters.

    2. Get him Ann! Speaking of which did you see my earlier piece where Sharpton called Trump the White Don King?

    3. I just took a look... and left a question for you there to answer.

  2. Trump and his best pals Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin, should start suggesting that Rubio and Cruz might not be as white as they appear. That perhaps their makeup artists put a little white face on them to fool decent white people into thinking their true white people. This is the the GOP base we're talking about: it's impossible to go too low. Whatever works!

  3. I saw Sumner has a post of predictions for the election-from the prediction market. I see that got pretty crazy in comments. Also you left a few comments.

LOL. May write about that later.

    1. Yeah, I think your friend Morgan may be smoking the good stuff there on his predictions for what Trump will do (guarantee that he'll nominate Cruz for the Supreme Court??? Oh really?). It seems like a classic case of extreme wishful thinking. I'm pretty sure that Trump is smarter than that... that'd be a general election anchor around his neck.

But who knows... maybe it's ME smoking the good stuff. (It doesn't FEEL like I'm smoking any good stuff though... hmmm)

  4. Yes, he already told me about this on Twitter last week. LOL.

I do think Sumner is right. Trump should stop hitting Cruz and focus on Rubio primarily

  5. Mike, the whiny little jackass Erick Erickson, bitches like a crybaby toddler about the whiny little jackass crybaby toddlers, Cruz and Rubio for fighting with each other instead of Trump, who Erickson calls a fascist "worse than Obama" and whom he vows he will not vote for, even it it means HRC gets the White House.

His whiny little bitch tantrum is music to me ears!

    http://theresurgent.com/ted-cruz-marco-rubio-will-share-the-blame-if-trump-gets-the-nomination/

(Erickson apparently has a new website, which is where that's from)

    1. More divine music from Erickson:
      http://theresurgent.com/i-will-not-vote-for-donald-trump-ever/

      http://theresurgent.com/donald-trump-just-another-fascist-with-an-enemies-list/

If I was an evil Bond villain, I might have my henchmen inject a brain dead human zygote into Erickson's testicles while he slept... and let him bring a brain dead baby to turn via the 1st ever testicular birth... and I'd be right there to call him a "baby killer" should he attempt to have his little problem "taken care of."

But alas, I possess no such Bond villain super powers or super budgets, so I'll have to amuse myself with the fantasy of it.

Let's hope that at the very least, Erickson's name is mud in white-supremacist circles... which has got to be pretty uncomfortable living as a white man in the deep South and all.

    2. ... maybe he can find refuge at the "Southern Poverty Law Center" should it get too bad for him.

    3. Wow, this is fun. Apparently Erickson is a "cuckservative" ... I guess that means a race-traitor who doesn't love whiteness enough [according to this pro-White, pro-South website]:
      http://www.occidentaldissent.com/2016/02/23/cuckservatives-poll-numbers-and-meltdowns/
He get's a perverse vicarious sexual thrill out of watching other races defile America!

tsk tsk... a "cuckservative"... just like George Will. A traitor essentially, to the Old Confederacy! For shame Erick! Lol.

All I can think is "pit of vipers" ... I can't imagine wanting anything to do with any of that crowd, as they turn on each other.
