Beltway Media is Wrong Again as Christie Heads to the Kid's Table

Well, recall we were told that he was one of the winners of that last GOP debate. I didn't really think so and neither did the GOP primary voters apparently.

"Christie, Huckabee fail to make main stage at upcoming GOP debate"

"Paul and Kasich hang on in primetime, while Graham and Pataki get bumped from the entire Nov. 10 event."

Thank you campaign Gods! I had begged you to give me this one thing-no Chris Christie at the next GOP debate.

For those who say nice guys finish last-well Christie is not a nice guy and he's finishing last. That Lindsay Graham and George Pataki won't even be at the Kid's Table is a bonus.

Yet the media was telling us after the last debate that Christie had done well, and, that Trump had done badly. But they always claim Trump does badly at the debates. I thought he was pretty good particularly where he cut of Kasich at the knees on his rant about What is happening to the Republican party?

Indeed, we've been hearing a lot about how Trump is in decline lately with little in the polls to corroborate this.

"The fight for first between Donald Trump and Ben Carson continues in Iowa, while Hillary Clinton holds a double-digit lead over Bernie Sanders, according to the results of the latest CNN/ORC poll of likely caucus participants in the state released Friday."

"Trump took 25 percent to Carson's 23 percent, followed by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 13 percent, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 11 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 5 percent, retired tech executive Carly Fiorina and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal at 4 percent each, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 3 percent, and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul tied at 2 percent. Just 3 percent had no opinion."

Trump has not declined at all. What has happened is Carson has gained all this support but the numbers don't indicate that this comes from Trump''s supporters.

Note as well that I''ve recently been arguing that this is a four man race and the others are just pretenders-the only candidates with any shot at winning this primary are Rubio. Cruz, Carson, and Trump.

The one media narrative that was right about the last debate was that Rubio had won the battle against his mentor and fellow Floridian Jeb Bush big time.

Whereas previously they were both getting about 9% now Rubio is at 13% and Jeb is at 5%.

P.S. Morning Joe sounds like it's in mourning over Christie not making the main stage. Can we stop lying to ourselves? He has no chance. All you have to do to shut him down is say the word Bridgegate.

That viral video of his is all well and good but nobody is voting for him in the polls.

The field has to winnow out eventually. Fox Business made the right choice here.
