Donald Trump's First Mistake?

So says Ann Coulter. It's amazing this is in her mind his first mistake. But it shows that Pence might be a fun pick after all.

"Ann Coulter Says Pence VP Pick Would Be ‘Trump’s First Mistake’

"He’s a “combo-platter of disaster,” the conservative pundit tweeted.

"Relentless Donald Trump supporter and conservative media heavyweight Ann Coulter finally has a gripe with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee."

"In a series of social media posts, the pundit revealed she isn’t thrilled about the rumors that Trump will name Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) as his running mate."

"In her Facebook post, Coulter slammed Pence for flip-flopping on gay marriage and being soft on immigration."

“He’s all in for corporate America bringing in as many guest workers as they please to replace American workers,” she wrote.

"She continued her tweetstorm with a list of alternative VP picks."

"Better VP picks for Trump! Kris Kobach, Scott Brown, Pat McCrory, Mike Crapo, David Clarke, Mike Tyson, my next door neighbor .."

Mike Tyson? Why not Bill Cosby or Roger Ailes?

So it seems that this is going to be fun either way:

1. Either Trump jilts Pence at the altar-which will be a lot of fun. At this point, Trump has now done something of a McCain suspending his campaign. It's not clear why the terrorist attack means he had to delay Pence by two and a half days.

Now Trump will wait to announce on 60 Minutes. Normally 60 Minutes doesn't like to announce guests in advance but they may be trying to lock him in by making it public.

At that interview Trump will presumably announce Pence. Or will he?

How can you ever trust Trump on anything? I wouldn't take him at his word if it came notarized. After all, the paralegals probably graduated from Trump U.

2. Or he keeps him and enrages Ann Coulter Nation.

Talk about a win-win.

  1. Dump Tumpers got together to pen this piece, which is pretty good: The Case Against Trump:

They rad on Clinton in there for a sentence or two, but it's mostly all about Trump.

    2. They forgot one of his most outrageous lies though: the one about 1000s of Muslims cheering as the towers came down on 9/11.

  2. The tone of resignation in this one is delicious:
    http://www.redstate.com/leon_h_wolf/2016/07/15/gop-isnt-worth-saving/
But it's also a reminder that the RedState and TheResurgent people are not like us: thankfully they can see through the fraud Trump, but what the consider to be genuine and worthy of praise is in fact a disaster as well. So Leon is whining about how "the conservatives" (i.e. Ted Cruz) have tried over and over to save the GOP from itself... when I'd argue that those conservatives were also damaging to the cause with their the "no compromise!" stance.

Also I noticed that Bob Bennett is a diarist there. I didn't know that until yesterday when I saw his piece on the utter ruination of #NeverTrump on the rules committee. And poor Erick is now sounding almost as delusional as Jennifer Rubin on that score:

So Erick's take is ... frankly, retreat into more delusion. The rules committee humiliation of #NeverTrump has just made #NeverTrump stronger?? WTF? Lol. I wish it were true, but I don't put much stock in that wish. That's the difference between wishing and hoping and the wrongly lauded "faith": Wishing and hoping don't come with an active strain of self delusion that you use on yourself to try and make yourself believe that what you wish for is actually true. In that sense wishing and hoping are MUCH less of a vice than is faith.
