Emailgate is not About Either Security or Transparency but Pure Politics.

Politics is politics even if under the guise of a deep concern about transparency. Just like those who claim that they're concerned about IT security really care only about politics.

Think about it. If you really care about IT security, you don't always say 'Well sure everyone else also used their own servers and private emails, but no one else is running for President.'

That's a dead giveaway that the only reason you care about Hillary's emails is politics. Maureen Dowd breast beats that if Hillary were still at the State Dept she'd have lost her clearances, etc.

Oh, but no. If she was still at State this would never have become an issue. In that case we'd be hearing about John Kerry's emails or maybe Ashton Carter's.

You know the expression follow the money. Well in this case, follow the politics. The faux outrage is always about which Democrat's poll numbers the GOP is trying to bring down, a al Kevin McCarthy.

"We may never know whether Hillary Clinton's several private email servers and numerous mobile devices were hacked by hostile actors, but we certainly do know that her actions imperiled the public's right to know. Despite her claim to the contrary, her communication choice was never a matter of simple convenience. It was about asserting control at the expense of transparency and possibly national security. The former has been made clear through results obtained in litigation initiated by Judicial Watch, the self-described "conservative, nonpartisan educational foundation," the latter by the FBI investigation."

"This was about keeping stuff secret from the American people," Tom Fitton, Judicial Watch's president, told me in February. That Fitton's group has a history of antagonism toward the Clintons does not diminish what its efforts generated.

Yes, there's a nice trustworthy, transparent organization for you-Judical Watch. Surely, they have no political agenda. I'm sure they and Citizen's United are not at all biased.

Meanwhile, we have not seen Trump tax returns. He's been audited every year since the 80s and is unwilling to show the level of transparency of Richard Nixon. But all we hear from the Hillary haters is crickets on this.

Turns out they don't care about transparency after all. They just want to drive down Hillary Clinton's poll numbers.

In other news, when do the investigations start on Tredy Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz's private servers?
