Fox GOP Debate Was all About Megan Kelly

Say what you want about Trump and Fox News did everything to sucker punch him but Fox owes him. This was the most watched debate ever and it's thanks to no one but Trump.

Trump has just totally crossed the wires of things. I mean look at me today, looking forward to listening to Rush Limbaugh to see what he made of last night's debate.

He does make one very interesting point: Megan Kelly got a lot more face time than any of the candidates.

That speaks to the fact that Fox News planed the entire night around Trump. It was about neutralizing him and putting him in his place. Of criticizing him and inviting other candidates to criticize him.

The next debate will be CNN and Trump will probably get a lot more room to breath then. Last night the first two questions were about putting him in the box:

       1. The pledge to not run third party

       2. Kelly's going after him about his insults of the attractiveness of different women.

This is why the GOP deserves Trump: they are such hypocrites. As if they care about having respect for women.

Scott Walker has about as an appalling position on abortion as is imaginable and yet people think that Trump is the thing women have to worry about. I have to disagree with the idea that Trump was The Heal last night. Scott Walker's petty sadism is worse.

So What does Rush Limbaugh say about last night's debate? He's basically punking out. He's not telling you what he thinks about Trump or the refusal to take the pledge or anything else. He basically sounds like he wants the callers to tell him what they think first. Which is shrewd though show's he's not quite as ballsy as he likes to think .

He wants to wait to hear what the callers are saying before he takes a position.

  1. I was looking forward to you listening to Rush too (I certainly wasn't going to do it!).... too bad he wussed out. I think you've nailed it: he want's to see which way the wind is blowing too before he synthesizes a "bold opinion" on the matter.

I remember way back when I did occasionally listen to him (early 90's), he used to be WSJ style pro-immigration, and was critical of anti-immigrantion arguments. I figured the smell of blood must have convinced him to change his mind on that.
