It's understandable why he would talk so much about Hillary's emails. After all, his attempts to talk foreign policy have been disastrous as he always ends up trying to justify his brother's Iraq policy that Americans don't ever want to go back to.

So then Jeb! tried to discuss the economy. He simply pulled the number 4 percent GDP out of a hat. That didn't go to well either as Huckabee one-upped him by pulling a higher number out of the hat-6 percent GDP.

So understandale that Jeb would want to change tact and point his figure out someone else. So he keeps hitting Hillary on her emails. He says this is where he's totally different than her. Really?
This is something the Hillary campaign really has to be on top of and point to the total hypocrisy here of ignoring that Jeb-as well as Jindal and others-have used private emails.
Just like Romney argued that when he passed Obamacare it was totally different from when Obama did it, here the GOP will try any red herring it can think of to try to claim that it's different with Jeb.
I mean it's clear she broke no laws but one thing you hear is that as Secretary of State this was very dangerous. Yet Jeb himself discussed some very sensitive issues over private email.
Jeb Bush used his private e-mail account as Florida governor to discuss security and military issues such as troop deployments to the Middle East and the protection of nuclear plants, according to a review of publicly released records.
"The e-mails include two series of exchanges involving details of Florida National Guard troop deployments after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the review by The Washington Post found."
"Aides to Bush said Saturday that none of the e-mails contained sensitive or classified information, and that many of the events mentioned in them were documented in press accounts, either contemporaneously or later. But security experts say private e-mail systems such as the one used by Bush are more vulnerable to hackers, and that details such as troop movements could be exploited by enemies."

In fact, most of the GOP candidates used a private email. This is a phony issue but it needs to be discussed. The media ignores this totally when they blather on and on about Hillary.
"The Hillary Clinton campaign is calling out Republican hypocrites for making a scandal out of Hillary Clinton’s emails when Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush and Rick Perry also used private email."
"Clinton Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri said, “Many of the Republican candidates for president have done the same things for which they’re now criticizing Hillary. As governor, Jeb Bush owned his own private server and his staff decided which emails he turned over as work-related from his private account. Bobby Jindal went a step further, using private email to communicate with his immediate staff but refusing to release his work-related emails. Scott Walker and Rick Perry had email issues themselves. Look, this kind of nonsense comes with the territory of running for president. We know it, Hillary knows it, and we expect it to continue from now until Election Day.”

This is not the time to be understating this. Every time this is raised the answer has to be What about Jeb's emails. Why is is fine that he used a server.
"Scott Walker did the exact same thing with is emails as Hillary Clinton while he was Milwaukee County Executive. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “A top aide to Walker set up a private router in the county executive’s office that was used to trade emails that mixed government and campaign business. Emails released through litigation by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel show Walker routinely used his campaign account —skw@scottwalker.org — to discuss county business.”
"MSNBC reported that Jeb Bush owned and controlled his own private email server while he was governor of Florida, “Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush owns the server that runs jeb@jeb.org, the personal email account he used as governor to conduct official, political and personal business.”

Yes, despite all the fun with Trump I do anticipate that he will be the nominee-he has the donors and the endorsements. Trump has his own money but he won't have any major endorsements from the party and Jeb will bury him in attack ads.
It's important to realize how bad Jeb is. He's worse than W-and W was bad. This is certainly true on women's rights. Compared to Jeb! W was a moderate on abortion.

P.S. Thank God for Media Matters. This email nonsense is just what David Brock designed it for.

Love the title! Lol
ReplyDeleteMy brother and I never had chicken pox as kids, but I eventually got the vaccine, whereas he got a BAD case from his own kids. I never saw him myself (I was too afraid to get anywhere near him!) but my sister-in-law told me that he looked like "Noriega's ugly brother."
