Trump's Been Losing the Twitter War Lately

Politico noted that Trump didn't tweet all day after an early tweet claiming he never said to arm everyone at that Orlando nightclub.

This was a lie-but then the man doesn't have a 84 percent false rating with Politifact for nothing.

Actually here's an updated study that puts it at 91 percent.

Either way, he doesn't tell the truth too often.

Here is Morning Joe on Trump's  guns at the Orlando nightclub mess.

Anyway, yesterday Trump fired Corey Lewandowski, and mostly stayed off Twitter.

"Since then, Trump hasn't posted anything for nearly 12 hours (as of 6:00 p.m.), be it about Lewandowski or anything else. As a rough point of comparison, Trump tweeted a dozen times last Monday, and generally tweets several times per day, in addition to sporadic Facebook and Instagram posts."

As far as Lewandoski is concerned, it seems the Trump family was in on that. Maybe they wanted him to take it easy with the tweets?

But I want to highlight something else I've noticed lately: Trump is actually getting out tweeted most days by the Hillary campaign.

Count how many times Trump vs. Hillary sends a tweet on a given day.

She's been dwarfing him. Then there's Elizabeth Warren. True, a lot of her tweets are from her staff-though not all. She signs those by her with an H.

She's not just creaming him in the money war, but also the Twitter war. Then there's the surrogate war.

Again, this is such an mismatched fight, you worry that it gets called off before the convention.

Though as Chris Cillizza says, this is unlikely.
