Which does my heart good. No one who's a Trump supporter need ever feel unwelcome here at Last Men and OverMen. Here is a commentator-he went Anonymous.
"The other candidates turned on trump in Atlanta..That figures, they like to do things to people when they can't defend themselves. That was a sign of discrimination on their actions..Rejecting him from attending is unconstitutional & his lawyer should file charges against the person who rejected him from appearing..It doesn't matter what he said,we have a law that states FREEDOM OF SPEECH..That just shows the American people how screwed up our government is & the truth on so much discrimination is being committed on national television..trump should sue them for their actions"

I understand how he feels. Listen, whether or not Trump would have a legal case, they certainly did sandbag him by asking him two really tough questions in succession to start the debate. I mean when Fox says they asked everyone tough questions, this isn''t entirely true.
It is true that they asked other candidates tough questions too-Scott Walker got one, as did Christie-but Trump's questions were really tough and they were the first two questions of the debate which clearly was meant to put him on his back foot.
While they did ask Christie about his state's downgrades, what they didn't ask him about was Bridgegate-which would have been more comparable to Trump's questions.
Then again, both Jeb and Rubio had a very easy night of questions. What I can say for Anon and other Trump supproters is that next we go to CNN and if anything Trump will get better treatment there or at least he won't be blatantly singled out.
And of course while some GOPers yesterday were wishing they could just ban Trump from future debates that's not going to happen. Is CNN doing to ban Trump after seeing how many viewers watched the first debate-which was solely due to him?
So Trump supporters you must be vigilant as ConnerMcnmub says.
"If you like Trump but don't volunteer for his campaign don't blame us liberals when he loses the nomination.
"The GOP will bury him in oppo like they did to Newt in 2012."

Speaking of Trump, Sumner was getting pretty dogmatic about him having no chance yesterday. I find it fasicnating that he took such umbrage of Krugman simply saying this:
"Remember how Mr. Trump was supposed to implode after his attack on John McCain? Mr. McCain epitomizes the strategy of sounding moderate while taking extreme positions, and is much loved by the press corps, which puts him on TV all the time. But Republican voters, it turns out, couldn’t care less about him."
"Can Mr. Trump actually win the nomination? I have no idea. But even if he is eventually pushed aside, pay no attention to all the analyses you will read declaring a return to normal politics. That’s not going to happen; normal politics left the G.O.P. a long time ago. At most, we’ll see a return to normal hypocrisy, the kind that cloaks radical policies and contempt for evidence in conventional-sounding rhetoric. And that won’t be an improvement."

Krugman is dead right that going back to normal hypocrisy won't be an improvement. This is why Trump is making the GOP so nuts-he is screwing up its normal hypocrisy. So that's why I keep rooting for Trump. Truthfully you can't even blame the base in that sense. After all what is the GOP establishment's message to them? Shut up and get behind Jeb.
But Sumner found his saying he 'has no idea' if Trump can win risible.

I guess Krugman's supposed to say no way can Trump win. But as Krugman would rather Trump win why would he say that? This is politics not science. Yet Sumner sounded absurdly dogmatic here. Either Krugman doesn't know the odds are long that Trump wins or 'he's lying.' How can demurring to make a political prediction be lying?
What he's doing is trolling GOPers. Sumner says he's not a GOPer-that he holds both parties in equal contempt-but he got trolled here so he's responding like a GOPer.
UPDATE: I forgot to say: Trump supporters of the world unite!
I could go on channeling Marx: A spectre is haunting the GOP...
Or: History repeats itself the second time as farce.
