The GOP position on this was never palatable. On the one hand they were reading selective sentences and snippets out of Sydney Blumenthal's emails to HRC but on the other hand refused to release the entire transcript.
Which tended to make you skeptical that viewed in full context, Blumenthal's extensive testimony before the Benghazi Committee was anything but another nothingburger.

In any case, Cummings dogged stand has been rewarded.
