Trump's RNC Does More Harm Than Good

So much for first do no harm.

"In the wake of the Republican and Democratic national conventions, voters are more likely to support Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump, according to a Gallup poll released Monday."

"While 36 percent of adults are more likely to support Trump coming out of the GOP’s four-day event, 51 percent are less likely to vote for the real estate mogul afterit. The minus-15 net rating is the worst mark for the Republican nominee coming out of the party’s convention since Gallup began asking the question in 1984, though the 1984 and 1992 GOP conventions were excluded."

That was before Trump's public insults of Captain Khan's family has led to such a backlash.

Earlier I talked about the fact that Hillary seems to have a larger bounce than Trump-'seems to' only as there will be a lot more polls out in the next few days you imagine.

Nate Silver says the same.

Meanwhile PPP shows the PA race is about the same as they found in June though with fewer undecides.

Clinton led Trump 46-42 in PA, 48-44 nationally in June. Now leads 49-45, 50-45 in the two of them. Undecideds down:

Hillary's favorability rises in PA post DNC convention just as it has nationally.

Clinton's favorability in PA has improved to 40/53 post convention after being 35/56 in June. 8 point net gain:

PPP found that her national favorability is now 45 approve and 51 disapprove. Still upside down but considerably an improvement.

Trump's is 36-58.

So the RNC broke the Hippocratic oath of first do no harm.

That actually makes me feel a little bit better about our country. I didn't see how anyone who wasn't a Trumpster could watch that Hitler Youth meeting-'Lock her up'-and actually like Trump better.

It turned out-they couldn't and didn't.
