Trump's Piss Poor Campaign Doesn't Care About Black Voters

These are not my words. They are my sentiments to be sure. But they are actually the words of the fellow who runs Donald Trump's African American outreach in Florida.

"A leading black Republican in Florida says that the campaign to elect Donald Trump president has “failed” at reaching out to black voters in his state."

"The Miami New Times said Friday that Sean P. Jackson — head of the Black Republican Caucus of South Florida — blames state campaign director Karen Giorno, who he says routinely disregarded his advice and froze him out of the party’s efforts to win over voters."

“Mr. Trump really does have a sincere, passionate interest in a black outreach, but his campaign staff has dropped the ball,” said Jackson to the New Times. “That all starts with Karen Giorno. She has repeatedly failed at embracing blacks across the state.”

"BuzzFeed News reported Thursday that Giorno booted Jackson out of the backstage area at a recent Florida rally."

“The crazy part about it is that the Secret Service had already cleared me to be back there, and yet she made a scene claimed that she didn’t know who I was,” said Jackson."

I'm sure Mr. Trump had nothing to do with it. Harry Truman got it wrong: the buck stops with Karen Giorno. It's not like Trump promised to higher the best people.

I'm sure this wasn't Mr. Trump's fault either.

"South-Asian Trump supporter kicked out of rally for being a “known protestor" no longer a Trump supporter."

"An 18-year-old Charlotte college student who was ejected from Thursday’s Donald Trump rally says he went from avid backer to disillusioned opponent after Trump’s security staff accused him of being a known protester."

"Jake Anantha, who registered as a Republican and planned to cast his first presidential vote for Trump, was wearing a Trump shirt when police removed him from the Charlotte Convention Center before the rally began. He and his father, Ramesh Anantha, say they believe he was profiled because of his dark skin."

“It’s unbelievably ironic,” said Ramesh Anantha, whose parents immigrated from India.

Somehow, the Trump campaign keeps literally showing Trump supporters of color the door. Not Mr. Trump's fault. He cares about people of color.

This is hard to believe with a swell fellow like Steve Bannon running Trump's campaign.

"Donald Trump’s new campaign boss—the guy white supremacists are so excited about—once described D.C.’s top Republicans as “cunts.”

"Stephen Bannon, the Trump campaign’s new chief executive as of Wednesday, used the phrase two years ago in emails with Breitbart reporter Matt Boyle. Bannon ran Breitbart at the time, and the two schemed about how to get activists to “turn on the hate” as part of a plan to “burn this bitch down.” The emails, obtained by The Daily Beast, are just another reminder that the Trump campaign’s new management is unlikely to play nice with party leaders."

Burn this bitch down. Sounds like a uniter not a divider. He's the guy to finally get Trump some party unity four weeks after his convention was supposed to have unified Republicans.

"The exchange was on December 16, 2014. In it, Bannon flagged a Roll Callstory about a private meeting Rep. Jason Chaffetz held for about a dozen Capitol Hill reporters. Chaffetz was about to become chairman of the powerful Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and the meeting previewed his plans for the committee."

“Were we invited to this?” Bannon emailed.

"Matt Boyle, then a Breitbart reporter and now its Washington Political Editor, replied that he wasn’t."

“To be honest, completely between us, I think Chaffetz is a sniveling little shit and deserves to have his ass kicked in the conservative media,” Boyle continued. “This is something that leads me very heavily in that direction.”

"In another email, Boyle went into more detail."

“Again I didn’t get an invite but not sure if they maybe gave one to someone else here or something,” he wrote. “BTW— as for lighting people up in the next few weeks//months we need to be smart about it all. Let’s play the game with brains here, we can’t just kill them all. Let me get some feelers out for how the new congress is gonna work before we annihilate everyone.”

"Bannon pushed for a more scorched-earth approach."

“Leadership are all cunts,” he wrote. “We should just go buck wild.”

Then he wrote, “Let the grassroots turn on the hate because that’s the ONLY thing that will make them do their duty.”

Turn on the hate to make them do their duty.

"Bannon and Boyle didn’t return requests for comment on the exchange. Chaffetz’s office didn’t comment either."

"But Bannon’s slash-and-burn tendencies might not serve him as well in his new role."

"Republican leaders are not the only people Bannon has designated as cunts. He also used the term to refer to Michelle Fields, one of his former employees—and not just any old “cunt,” but a “fucking cunt.”

"Despite Bannon’s comfort with obscenity, his website published a story criticizing Clinton spokesperson Jess McIntosh for frequently saying “fuck” on Twitter."

"A senior Republican Senate staffer said he found the emails amusing."

“I don’t know what’s dumber: the fact that they thought they could do this effectively, or that they were discussing it via email,” he said. “Does Matt Boyle and Steve Bannon not own phones? You’d expect these kind of antics from the wet bandits in Home Alone.”

"I think this is the beginning of a real pivot."

UPDATE. Mike Boyle, Bannon's email partner over at Breitbart is continuing to win friends and influence people:

"Aww fun i was just forwarded an email chain where Matt Boyle calls me “this politico bitch” for asking about their Cruz coverage."
