Louisiana Asked Trump to Stay Away From State: He Came Anyway

Call it the 'No means Yes' form of leadership.

"Louisiana government asked Obama, other politicians to stay away. Asked Trump to send money."

"But that didn't stop Trump from going, which means he's showing real leadership and she isn't."

See what I mean? It's 'No means Yes' leadership.

Roger Ailes used same tactics with Fox news interns. Of course Trump would say not to a donation.

In other news, Hillary up by 8 in a new Reuters poll. Reuters has leaned Trump post conventions.

"New Reuters national poll: Clinton 42 Trump 34 (!)"

How do you get 34% in a national poll as a major party nominee for President? It's less than McGovern and Mondale.

"Clinton has led Trump in the poll throughout most of the 2016 campaign, and has maintained her advantage following last month's Republican and Democratic conventions. Since late July, support for the former secretary of state has ranged between 41 percent and 44 percent of likely voters, while Trump's support has varied between 33 percent and 39 percent."

"The race was tighter at this point in the 2012 election, with Democratic President Barack Obama ahead of Republican nominee Mitt Romney by less than 2 percentage points."

"Clinton also led a separate Reuters/Ipsos poll that asked people to choose between Clinton, Trump, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Jill Stein of the Green Party. Some 41 percent supported Clinton and 34 percent supported Trump. Among alternative-party candidates, Johnson came in third with 7 percent and about 2 percent supported Stein."

DailyNewsBin sums it up well:

"Louisiana governor: "Politicians, don't come here right now, you'll get in the way." Obama: "Okay." Hillary: "Okay." Trump: "I'm on my way!"

  1. You should tweet this one to Ben Shapiro. He's freaking about about Obama not being there and comparisons to Bush and Katrina.

  2. The problem with Katrina was not that Bush didn't get there in time but that FEMA under W's leadership failed on the job

    1. Some great info in the Wolf piece. What did Trump know about Manafort and when did he know it?
