Bernie Calls it an Early Night Tonight

He gave a big speech in Vermont at 7:30. As Harry Enten says, that's not a good sign when you give your election speech during Wheel of Fortune.

General rule: if you're giving your election night speech during Wheel of Fortune, you probably haven't had a very good night."

"Bernie making it one heck of an early night."

You could read it as he only trusted to win in his home state of Vermont.

Pretty much everything has gone as expected. She has won all the Southern states-though some particularly big margins in many of them. Actually a big margin in all of them.

Texas hasn't been called for her yet, though she has a very large lead there currently, leading about by a 2 to 1 margin or 34 points. She is leading in Tennessee by almost 40 points which is considerably above the polls which showed her up 'only' 25.

Bernie is leading in one other state right now-Oklahoma and the exit poll had him ahead.

She is, however, leading in Massachusetts. She doesn't need to win it but it would just be pretty sweet if she did.

It would underscore Bernie's lacking a path to victory. Mind you whether she wins by a few points or loses by a few it doesn't change a lot but it would kind of take away even his symbolic argument.

UPDATE: Texas is now called for her as well which is worth 252 delegates. If she wins this by her current margin of 2 to 1 this would get her an 80 delegate win over him just in Texas alone.
