Bernie's War Against Super Delegates

At his Ohio Town Hall tonight-for God's sake how many debates and Town Halls do we need?-a very young Bernie supporter gave him slow pitch softball. The young guy feels that it's undemocratic for super delegates to vote differently than how the people of a state did.

Bernie loved this question: he feels that if he wins a state the SDs should automatically go to him. It's certainly neither fair nor democratic to change the rules in midstream however. His campaign manager Tad Devine, ironically is one of the originators of the super delegate system when he was running Walter Mondale's plan in 1984.

In 2008, that was one thing Obama's team understood better than Hillary's. That it's not about states but delegates. He got more delegates than she did in a few states despite her winning the state. No one cried foul then.

Meanwhile a woman just asked him a good question-in light of his opposition to NAFTA and other trade agreements a very good two part question:

1. What changes would he make to these agreements?

2. How would he give our trading partners to accept these changes.

His answer: trade must be fair and not just benefit corporate America. As usual he goes for the aspirational answer.

He also greatly exaggerates the trade as the cause of all economic ills. There is the issue of technology as a big driver of low wages.

Hillary has a great plan to deal with the 'Uber' or 'gig' economy.

UPDATE: The woman is great. She pushed back on Bernie: 'Ok, I agree it's not fair. But how exactly do you get Mexico for instance to change these agreements?'

Bernie doesn't seem to have much of an answer for this one
