A Preview of the 2016 Presidential Race

It's official:

1. Obama supports Hillary. We knew that but have more proof now not that we needed it.

2. Obama plans to campaign more than any retiring President ever did. This is going to be a stark contrast with Al Gore who ran against his own popular President.

Jamelle Bouie is right. Trump is going to be in for it. He's going to have to deal with Hillary and Obama all at once. The Dem party is going to be tremendously unified. Meanwhile, the big discussion for the GOP today was whether they should run a third party if Trump gets the nomination.

"This is what people are missing. Trump is going to face the full Dem Party without a unified GOP to back him up. "

A non-trivial number of Republicans will look at Trump as he withers under blows from HRC & Obama and simply say, "If he dies, he dies."

Don't think that Obama doesn't want a piece of Trump just on general principal. Remember, Trump got his place in the political world via birtherism.

For those who think Trump is invulnerable remember what Obama did to him at that Washington Correspondents' Dinner back in 2012.

This is a preview of what you will see in the general.
