Elizabeth Warren Pivots to the General Election

Bernie is trying to convince someone that this primary is still relevant. In truth Hillary needs less than a third of the remaining 2400 delegates to win.

Like most Democrats, Elizabeth Warren is looking past the primary at this point. Warren is blatantly picking a fight with a bully.

"Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren lit into Donald Trump on Monday, denouncing the Republican presidential frontrunner as a "loser" whose past business dealings and insecurities threaten to rip apart the United States."

"In a multi-part tweetstorm and Facebook post, the Democratic senator referred to ongoing litigation over his businesses, including Trump University. "Let’s be honest - @realDonaldTrump is a loser. Count all his failed businesses. See how he cheated people w/ scams like Trump U.," Warren tweeted.

"See how @realDonaldTrump kept his father’s empire afloat using strategic corporate bankruptcies to skip out on debt," she followed.

"Trump is a "loser," Warren tweeted, and he knows it."

"His embarrassing insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, and flagrant narcissism," she wrote. "But just because Trump is a loser everywhere else doesn’t mean he’ll lose this election. People have been underestimating his campaign for nearly a year – and it’s time to wake up."

Even if Trump is a "loser," she wrote, he is a dangerous one.

"More than anyone we’ve seen before come within reach of the presidency, Donald Trump stands ready to tear apart an America that was built on values like decency, community, and concern for our neighbors," she concluded. "Many of history’s worst authoritarians started out as losers – and Trump is a serious threat. The way I see it, it’s our job to make sure he ends this campaign every bit the loser that he started it."

The thing about Elizabeth Warren is though she is a muckraker on banking issues, she is also someone who chooses her words very carefully. So she clearly has a point with this. While she isn't going to outright endorse Hillary just yet, this is a clear signal to move on from the primary.

Trump responded by calling her 'an Indian'-over the phony Right wing attempt to smear her in 2012.

"Donald Trump on Monday took a shot at Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, sarcastically calling her “the Indian,” as he also called for unity in American politics."

“The problem with the country right now [is] it’s so divided, and people like Elizabeth Warren really have to get their act together because it’s going to stay divided,” he told reporters during a news conference Monday.

"Trump also referred to Warren as “the Indian” — a swipe at the controversy that touched her Senate campaign after it was revealed that she had in the past claimed minority status, citing Native American ancestry."

While the GOP is incredibly divided and trying to figure out cloak and dagger schemes to somehow avoid the fate of nominating Donald Trump, the Dems are already unifying. Between Obama's call to donors recently and Warren, the entire party is going to have Hillary's back.

P.S. Warren isn't stopping either on the Twitter razzing of Trump.

"Why is it that @realDonaldTrump can call himself the “unity” candidate while basing his campaign on racism, sexism, xenophobia & hatred?"

"@RealDonaldTrump is “cool with being called an authoritarian,” isn't upset at Hitler comparisons & thinks we won’t fight back? WRONG!"

Speaking of which, I mentioned yesterday that Ivana Trump claimed after their divorce that Trump had a book of Hitler's speeches next to his bed.
