It's not an accident that they of all people were who broke the latest alleged bombshell that it's now when not if Biden runs.

Why is the WSJ trying to fan the flames on this? If they really believed Hillary is the weakest candidate they would be happy for her to run.
Just like Republicans are transparent when they tout Bernie Sanders.

While I love the Vice President and appreciate his service to the country and the President, he also needs to be a good Democrat here and not just think about what will make him feel really good but what's in the interests of this party.
I assume he agrees that the best interests of the country is a Democratic victory in 2016. Barney Frank tells us the stakes.
"I believe strongly that the most effective thing liberals and progressives can do to advance our public policy goals — on health care, immigration, financial regulation, reducing income inequality, completing the fight against anti-LGBT discrimination, protecting women’s autonomy in choices about reproduction and other critical matters on which the Democratic and Republican candidates for president will be sharply divided — is to help Clinton win our nomination early in the year. That way, she can focus on what we know will be a tough job: combating the flood of post- Citizens United right-wing money, in an atmosphere in which public skepticism about the effectiveness of public policy is high."
If Dean and his advisers don't' believe that then Houston we have a problem.
I assume they do. I mean when you see the the GOP is doing in Congress right now with the shutdown for Planned Parenthood mess can you imagine that party having all three branches of government in 2017?
That being the case is Biden's running really in the best interests of the party? The true interests of the party aren't going to be discovered by listening to the Hillary hating Beltway press, much less the RNC which dominates the WSJ.

Biden should realize that once he gets in the kid gloves come off. Then he has to again explain why he helped Clarence Thomas and pushed that awful bankruptcy bill.
In light of that bankruptcy bill it kind of gives lie to the idea that his recent lunch with Elizabeth Warren connotes her support.
I know the VP has suffered terribly from the loss of his son, Beau. I understand how torn he is. It's tough to just say not because then its over for him.
Being courted this way no doubt is very enjoyable. But he must weigh this against the interest's of the country and pull the plug on this fiasco ASAP.
