It is also when you think about it, a sexist attack as there have been no references to the age of Bernie who's 74 or Biden's speculative non-campaign, who is 73, or for that matter Trump who is 69, but for Hillary at 68 we keep hearing this is a problem that she has to try not to remind voters of.
Marco Rubio-back when he was supposed to be a formiddable canidate-his numbers are abysmal at this point though everyone in the GOP's numbers are abysmal except Trump and Ben Carson-used to base his entire campaign against Hillary on ageism.

Scott Walker did too before the voters basically seemed to tune out what he's saying.

So this is the featured front at the very top of the page story for Politico today: it claims that Hillary is using older pictures of herself for nostalgia-so as to hide her age.
"In a bid to burnish her image with voters, the Clinton campaign is flooding the Internet with nostalgic pictures of the Democratic front-runner."
"Follow Hillary Clinton’s Instagram feed, and you’ll see her as a toddler in Park Ridge, Illinois, riding a tricycle. On Facebook, you’ll meet her as an almost unrecognizable young Arkansas mother with brown hair, big glasses and loafers, spotting her daughter on a pony ride; on the website Medium, she stares out at you, just another earnest face in a crowd posing for a 1965 high school class picture. In the first television ads of the campaign, she is seemingly from another era, pictured in grainy black and white, about 10 years old with a half-smile on her face, hair pulled back in a pollyanna, holding her mother’s hand."
"Since launching her campaign last June, Clinton has flooded the Internet and filled her TV spots with surprising, little-known images of the candidate pulled from old family photo albums, all part of a larger campaign strategy to make Clinton more relatable to voters. The nostalgic pictures are designed to present her as an average person — rather than a global brand — and to neutralize the negative image Clinton can sometimes project as the untrustworthy political insider campaigning in a rich lady's uniform of bold-colored pantsuits and a helmet of blonde hair."
"This time around, however, the campaign is all in on the nostalgic memes as it tries to humanize a candidate who has stumbled through a difficult summer, with the controversy over her emails reinforcing the most negative stereotypes of the Clintons as paranoid and secretive, playing by their own set of rules. In polls, a majority of voters think Clinton is untrustworthy, and describe her as “dishonest."

First of all, the idea that everyone thinks she is dishonest has been debunked.
http://www.mediaite.com/online/exclusive-new-data-from-that-hillary-clinton-liar-poll-tells-a-different-story/
Secondly you hear so much about this idea that she's 'trying to humanize herself' and you have to notice that no other candidate is spoken of by the press in this same way.
It's been noted many times that the media doesn't cover the Clintons the same way they do other politicians and this certainly remains true of Hillary.
With her they feel they have to parse everything she says or does into something niggly to beat about her on the head with.
We see some early pictures of her and that''s read as her somehow failing to be relatable. With her the media has to always fine the negative angle, nothing is every allowed to be what it is.
Like yesterday she was leading Saint Bernie-aka the True Progressive-42% to 24% nationally. But you just have to wait for it and not very long.
No matter what the news is for Hillary, even clearly good news like this, the media has to somehow fund the angle that makes the glass half empty.

The press sees that as meaning Hillary is in big trouble because: she led by more in the same poll in July.
They don't even bother to do the math that shows that her lead would have been 58% to 29% without Biden in the poll-which would make sense as he isn't running.
The funny thing is that while the media claims that she's 'untrustworthy' they are the ones who lie about her and are untrustworthy. They should worry about the imagined character defects of Hillary less and their own a lot more.
Because memo to the Beltway press: you are the ones who are always lying.
