Carly Fiorina vs. HIllary Clinton: Ironies Pile on Top of Ironies

Ms. Fiorina has this narrative that she-because she's a woman-is the one to go up against Hillary and bully Hillary over her emails and Benghazi.

She argues that the Democrat's talk of a War Against Women simply dissolves into air at the very existence of Fiorina. If a woman can run for President in the GOP this means the GOP isn't misogynist.

No matter how hard them come out against a woman's right to choose, birth control, or healthcare, presumably.

Fox News went as far as claiming she is better for feminism than Hillary.

Again, this is someone who wants to use a government shtudown as leverage to deny funding to Planned Parenthood.

She has certainly been very strident in going after Hillary''s alleged likes in Emailgate-considering that she came across as something of a pathological liar herself in the debate-even if the media insists she won.

In her mawkish rant about PP supposedly crushing the brain of a 'fully formed fetus, it's heart beating, its legs kicking.'

Then there was the way she lied about her time at H-P. But in light of how she trolls Hillary on emails and how she posies as being so ultra tough on Iran this is rather shocking:

"Even as Carly Fiorina gains momentum in the republican primary, her past role as CEO of Hewlett Packard is coming back to haunt her in ways which go far beyond her mere incompetence, layoffs, and firing. Even as she talks tough against the regime in Iran, it turns out she defied an Executive Order and sold millions of dollars in HP computers and printers to that same Iran regime. Suddenly, it appears we have the first real scandal of the 2016 election cycle."

"It turns out this wasn’t a one-time thing either. At one point Carly Fiorina was illegally selling so much HP product to Iran that the company had nearly half the printer marketshare in the rogue nation. Worse, she tried to hide it by using a third party company. According to MSNBC, the sales were in violation of an Executive Order in place from President Bill Clinton. Ultimately the SEC caught her red handed, according to the Boston Globe, and put a stop to the law-breaking."

"The issue had largely been forgotten in the zeitgeist after she was fired from Hewlett Packard for incompetence and then subsequently lost a state election and disappeared from the public eye. However now that Carly Fiorina is back on the national stage and once again under public scrutiny, her illegal behavior at HP is suddenly the center of attention again. It’s highly unlikely she’ll face any criminal charges in the matter. But considering her hardline stance on Iran and her opposition to President Obama’s peace deal in favor of a path to war, and the fact that Iran would be conducting its business with computers she sold to them during any such war, it’s difficult to see how she weathers this scandal from a political sense. Read the full MSNBC article here and the Boston Globe article here."http://www.dailynewsbin.com/news/carly-fiorina-scandal-explodes-she-illegally-sold-millions-in-hp-products-to-iran/22472/

How does she weather it? Easy. That Boston Globe piece was written in 2008 and it hasn't hurt her yet. The media narrative right now is that she's ascendant and beat Trump.

This here doesn't conform to the media narrative and so will be ignored unless Daily News Bin, Media Matters, or someone is able to force the Beltway press to admit it.

Media narrative-no matter whether true or false-is a very powerful thing.

P.S. So the media fully intends to continue throwing spitballs at Hillary over something that pales next to Carly's story of violating an executive order.

  1. Probably given the Candidates the GOP should withdraw from the election.

  2. I mean I guess they will say we need the Republican candidate to make the election democratic but watching them seems much less like democracy in action than a clown car
