My Message to Fellow Hillary Supporters: Stay the Course

I think that;s what she needs to do in her own campaign and I think she is and will do it. There is an awful lot of advice from bedwetting liberals these days that she needs to do this or that.

But remember once she seems to be doing a 180 in her approach just to please the Beltway media Hillary bashers then they will criticize her for responding to their criticism.

You have to see these Beltway insiders as schoolyard bullies. The key is that bullies are cowards. Bullying is based on the pack mentality and that's what drives the media narrative on Hillary.

They kick her because all their Beltway friends do the same and there's strength in numbers. That's why a guy like David Brock is doing the Lord's Work in going after the NY Times which in the world of Hillary hating and the vast Right wing conspiracy that she correctly diagnosed way back in the 90s, is the belly of the beast.

I give the Brocks of the world all the credit in the world. I don't worry about Hillary. This is a very intelligent, very strong woman. She's been at this for a long time and she's never lost to the Right wing conspiracy machine.

That's why they hate her and will do anything to bring her down. But she knows what she's doing. MY advice to fellow Hillary lovers is don't give her too much advice as she doesn't need it.

What we can do, what I intend to do with every fiber of my being, and I know my fellow Hillary supporters feel the same is hit the Beltway media back.

Hit them where it hurts just like Brock does. As a starting point I very much recommend you read his book.

Remember this is a man who knows where of he speaks-he used to be part of the Right wing big lie machine. He was one of them during the entire 90s until his conscience bothered him. But that's why it's so wonderful that he's on our side.

If anyone knows exactly how they operate it's Mr. Brock.

Remember-most of the alleged liberal media has been as virulently anti Hillary from day one of this campaign.

The NY Times has been nothing short of disagraceful as Brock chronicles. We liberals need to correct the record where ever and whenever we can. Give no quarter to the lies against Hillary.

The NY Times, allegedly the liberal media gold standard, has been a key part of the Right wing conspiracy for 24 years.

The Times broke Whitewater and it was thanks to a Times journalist-the Right wing William Safire-that Ken Starr didn't give up in 1997 and go back to teaching as the Whitewater investigation was turning up nothing-that he didn't but instead delved into the Lewinsky affair.

Yes, as the Beltway press has argued, the NY Times editorial page endorsed her in 2008-as if that proves anything; everyone knows that the editorial page is one thing, management is another.

But by the same token the Times had demanded that Bill Clinton resign during the impeachment fiasco.

So the Times has a record of kicking the Clintons right when they're down.

Meanwhile. the coverage at MSNBC has been a disaster. I don't care who you want to talk about. Lawrence O'Donnell has been the worst offender and is now apparently trying to out Fox Fox News in moral grandstanding on Hillary's emails.

I hate to say it as I used to love this guy, but he's become a clown. He's taking the same side as Citizen's United against Hillary-who do you think has put all these bogus FOIA requests in?

But they all have their own particular anti Hillary dog whistle.  Chris Matthews will say Gee, this email thing is ridiculous but let's face it for whatever reason the press haters her and the only way to make the press shut up is to go with Biden.

Rachel Maddow will play the same Biden game though she's more in love with Bernie than Mathews is.

Chris Hayes admits that the DOJ has said she did nothing wrong but then he still says we need to rifle through every email she ever received with a fine tooth comb in search of something though no one can say what.

And then there was Melissa Harris-Perry's incredible claim yesterday that for Hillary to win the Presidency will just not be important at all for young women, it will be a total nothingburger unlike the election of President Obama.

http://lastmenandovermen.blogspot.com/2015/09/for-melissa-harris-perry-race-matters.html

It was a very unfortunate way too look at things. What Perry is essentially saying is that the issue of sexism is much less important than racism.

I wonder if this harks back to a time when a lot of black women concluded that feminism was just about white libbers and not relevant to their own struggle.

If blacks are accepted women don't have to be, seemed to be their presumption.

Now, for the record this is not what most black women think-I know many who don't think this way and were also appalled by Perry's dismissive attitude.

But to see how Hillary has been treated by the press for 24 years and hear Perry's feeling that Hillary is 'too privileged'-and though she doesn't quite say this, too white-suggests to me she's lived in a different country the last 24 years than I have, if not a different planet.

P.S. I don't agree at all that sexism is less a problem than racism. They are both social evils but if anything sexism is worse because so many like Perry continue to dismiss it. Her feminism seems to be only for nonwhite women.

She ought to realize that a lot of white women watch her show and they are very upset by her attitude.

A lot of the rest of us who aren't white and/or women feel the same.

This is why Madonna may have been right that women's rights have come less far than gay rights-or I will say here, African-American rights.

As Yoko Ono said Woman is the nigger of the world. Ever otherwise oppressed people oppress women.

P.S.S. And that's where we Hillary lovers have some power. We are a huge part of the MSNBC audience and we are significant readers of the Times. So let's hit these Hillary hating outfits where it hurts.
