No real surprise then that they come out declaring that someone other than Trump won. Many are claiming that he's over as they crown Queen Fiorina.

I've heard some suggest that the GOP establishment wants Fiorina to go against Hillary. Fiorina loves to play the gender card when it suits her and does a lot of the most nasty Hillary bashing-if misleading.

But I don't think the GOP actually wants her to win the nomination. The rap on her is she's a fine vice president pick and I'll buy that.
Even last night her allegedly great performance came across to me as a college student who was very well prepared to ace the final exam.
She clearly prepared very meticulously. But that's the difference between her and Trump and why I think he is found to be a breath of fresh air by his fans.
Trump doesn't have to study to ace the exam. This is another thing the Beltway press doesn't like about him. He doesn't play it by their rules.
But what last night was about was anyone but Trump winning the debate.
Don't get me wrong-the GOP establishment would take Fiorina if the only other choice is Trump. But she's not their first pick-I'm sure they are missing the old days when the party bosses picked the candidate.
They want Jeb. No more no less.
The GOP insiders and the Beltway press both had this same objective last night-anyone but Trump.
The GOP because he has totally screwed up their primary.
The media because Trump has flouted their sacred conventions, what they see as the Spirit of Gravity in presidential primaries.
So no surprise both are full of how wonderful Fiorina is, how she defended her fellow American women-even though she doesn't think they need one of their sisters on a dollar bill.
And she lied egregiously about Planned Parenthood. And about her time at HP-though she supposedly kicked Trump's ass, he was right about that.
And she misleadingly made it sound like her child died from use of marijuana.
So the truth is a loser but Fiorina the Betlway press tell us, is the big winner. Let's host a parade!

Howie Carr who predicted the Rinos would anoint Carly was proven right. He;s not so impressed. He also has a great line that I have no doubt is correct:

Tidal waves, perhaps, but only of ennui. Too many candidates, too much time. Three hours!
