I have to admit the idea kind of occurred to me too.

He did seem a little on the nose. Jake Tapper tweeted:
"Anyone have any idea the identity of the guy who asked Trump that question at that NH town hall? Some folks think he was a Dem plant--"
However, if it was a plant my guess is it wasn't a Democrat. No, look at who has been condemning Trump for his reaction to the question. Graham, Chris Christie, etc. The GOP establishment. If it were a plant that's my guess on who it is.

Even if he is a plant, Trump is taking no chances and is defending him against charges that this proves he was a bigot.
