Joe Biden Won't Say, but I think I know Who He Voted For

He's being coy, which he's not always good at:

"Joe Biden’s made a decision in the Democratic primary race — but he won’t say whether he picked Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders."

"The vice president and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, voted early while back home in Wilmington on Friday, four days before the Delaware primary on April 26, when Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maryland will also vote."

Well, we know who President Obama voted for in Illinois. Now do you really think Joe Biden is going to vote contrary to the President? I'm not buying that one.

It has no doubt been bittersweet for Joe, as it was a life long dream of his to be POTUS. So the other day, he made a comment that sounded like it was supportive of Bernie and a rebuke to Hillary and that made me crazy along with most Hillary supporters.

It made the Berners jubilant. However, let's look at Biden's full statement at the interview:

"Biden, who was deep in discussions about running himself before dropping out in October, has vowed not to stay silent about politics."

"And he hasn’t when it’s come to the Democratic primary, often making comments that sometimes seem to cut at Clinton and Sanders, sometimes seem to support them. Sanders, for example, has eagerly seized on Biden saying in an interview with CNBC and The New York Times, “I don’t think any Democrat’s ever won saying, ‘We can’t think that big — we ought to really downsize here because it’s not realistic,’” seeming to mock what has been one of the responses from the Clinton campaign to Sanders. “C’mon man, this is the Democratic Party! I’m not part of the party that says, ‘Well, we can’t do it.’”

"But in the same interview, praising Sanders for having big ideas, he said, “But what I don't see enough of is the explanation of how to do that,” which itself echoes one of Clinton's central critiques of Sanders."

With the full quote in context, he's not praising Bernie, just letting him down easy.

What I'm really looking forward to, is President Obama out on the campaign trail, campaigning for her.

It's just an amazing story how these two who started as rivals end up being tied at the hip in terms of their respective legacies.

Obama needs his formal rival to win, to fully cement his own legacy.
A rivalry become love story.
