Bernie Sanders claims he's a Democrat. This is palpably false. What he did yesterday, is beyond just engaging in lying and misleading attacks. He is attacking the Democratic party itself in falsely claiming that Hillary violated campaign laws by raising money for her Victory Fund.
"Robby Mook: @BernieSanders' stunt is "poisoning the well for Democratic candidates up and down the ticket." Amen!"

The charge is absurd.

Michael Cohen:
"That liberals are protesting fundraising intended to elect Democrats is simply mind-boggling."

I keep saying it. We don't need the Berners. We have the Obama Coalition. If they want to join our party, fine. Get in line, though. You don't get to take it over.
But this shows the bad faith of Bernie and his Berners. Meanwhile, Bernie after making this specious charge, actually sent out emails: to raise money on these specious attacks.
Hillary though, smartly, sent out her own email to raise money on Bernie's emails.
Democrats like Barney Frank have no love lost for Bernie as they 'worked' with him for years. Or more like, they worked and he threw sanctimonious spitballs from the sidelines.
Now Bernie is throwing President Obama under the bus on his Supreme Court pick. Daniel Pfieffer, Obama's former campaign director, notes:
"Bernie Sanders criticizing President Obama's SCOTUS nominee is a reminder than on the big fights, he was often a nuisance, rarely an ally"

Listen, the point is not whether you think Merrick Garland is liberal enough. This is about strategy. Even if you were to want someone more liberal than Garland, you don't say that now, undermining the President's position. What Bernie can't get is that when you are actually in office, you don't want to always run out and say these categorical things that reduce your own options.
For all we know HRC might go with her own pick, but she's smart enough, and loyal enough to the President not to say that now.
And Garland is a fine pick. Remember who he's replacing-Antonin Scalia. But as usual Bernie goes for ideological purity above all else.
It's not for nothing that Jeffrey Merkel, while endorsing Bernie in Oregon, admits that he won't be able to flip super delegates for Hillary Clinton.
He is just worthless in terms of being an ally. No wonder he's gotten nothing done in 26 years.
