She is being endorsed by the biggest immigration group in NY state and is making this announcement concurrently.
The NY polls which have shown her consistently up by double digits, show her with as much as a 40 point lead among Latinos. This should further reinforce her standing.
"In her campaign's latest effort to bolster its immigration bona fides ahead of Tuesday's New York primary, Hillary Clinton will receive the endorsement of one of the state's largest immigrant rights groups, according to a Clinton aide. The former secretary of state will also announce that she will create a new national Office of Immigrant Affairs to proactively coordinate policies and programs with federal agencies, as well as state and local governments."
"The New York State Immigrant Action Fund, which is the sister 501(c)(4) to the New York Immigration Coalition, will announce that it is supporting Clinton as she looks to shore up support among the state's immigrant community. On Tuesday, Bernie Sanders' campaign organized a conference call for reporters in which an array of participants blasted Clinton's opposition as a senator to granting driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants."

According to the aide, Clinton will work to implement the recommendations of the task force in order to ensure there is an organized place for immigration policy at the White House."
