I love me some Harry Reid. He sure got a kick out of Mitt Romney trying to use the same trick Harry had used against him in 2012 over his tax returns.
Speaking of Mr. 47 Percent, he's now going to save the GOP Establishment. If only we were kidding.

Harry actually says something here which I totally agree with.
"In an interview set to air on Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) contrasted Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), saying that while Cruz at least has a "set of values" that he sticks to, Rubio "doesn’t stand for anything."
"I don’t like a lot of the things that he stands for, in fact, most everything he stands for. But I have some degree of respect for him because he believes in something. He has a set of values," Reid said of Cruz on Sirius XM's "The Agenda with Ari Rabin-Havt," according to a preview clip of the interview published on Wednesday.
"I don’t agree with his values, but he speaks what he believes is the right thing for the country. And I appreciate someone that does that," Reid continued about Cruz. "I think he’s really hurt the country with being the person who closed the federal government for 17 days. But at least he set out doing what he said he would do."
But Reid said that Rubio "is a totally different character."
"He doesn’t stand for anything, nothing. He’s an opportunist first class," the minority leader said.
Reid criticized Rubio for abandoning the Gang of Eight immigration bill.
"Here is a man who is part of a group of senators, a very, very small group of senators, who came up with something important for the country: comprehensive immigration reform. He was a part of it. He helped us pass it here in the Senate. And then he walks away from it," Reid said. "He gives the same speeches on walls, and everybody else that Trump denigrates, he’s right with him doing that."
"Fox News host Sean Hannity railed against Marco Rubio on Wednesday night for his intensifying attacks on Republican front-runner Donald Trump."
"Rubio has relentlessly gone after the businessman since last week’s Republican debate, mocking his hair and the size of his hands, invoking his failed business ventures and questionable hiring practices, and even ridiculing the billionaire on stage at a rally by reading his misspelled tweets aloud."
"Hannity suggested Rubio — the “hired gun” to take out the insurgent Trump — had worn out those attacks but would use the same rhetoric in Thursday’s Republican debate."
“That’s not Marco,” Hannity said during a panel discussion on his show. “To me, it seems like the establishment is putting all this in his head. He’s regurgitating it and being somebody that he’s not.”
"Hannity said Rubio’s onslaught is “turning into a suicide mission.” He speculated Rubio “is being fed this” and was “probably promised a lot of money” to go after Trump this way and slammed a pro-Rubio super PAC for running an ad on Trump’s refusal to disavow the Ku Klux Klan."
“Maybe it’s my conspiratorial mind,” Hannity began. “I think this is orchestrated, well-funded and well organized.”
"As for Trump, Hannity lavished praise on the billionaire real estate showman for his Super Tuesday victory speech."
“Donald Trump showed a side of himself last night — I’m speaking objectively here. I’m not taking sides in this,” Hannity said. “But Donald Trump showed a side of him that was very different last night. You could even use the word 'presidential' in the way he approached. He was magnanimous when it comes to Ted Cruz and his victories, how tough it is to run for president, you know, and what I’m watching here is the kitchen sink, scorched earth, MMA bare-knuckle brawl, thorough nuclear attacks.”
"The sharp criticism of the Florida senator, who has only won a single state in the Republican primary, comes after Rubio reportedly lost the network’s support. And it follows several tweets from Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox's parent company, who signaled it was time for the party to stop attacking Trump and "unify" if he becomes the GOP's inevitable nominee."

Whatever you want to say about Rubio's attacks on Trump we can say this: the results of Tuesday sure don't suggest they've worked. Neither have recent polls.
Rubio is pretty much diminishing himself in doing this. What is the answer? I don't know, but he hasn't found it.
As for this talk by Rupert Murdoch I can only describe it as music to my ears. .
By all means, it's time for Trump vs. Hillary.

I agree with this. A lot of people say Cruz is a phony but I don't see it that way. He's a crazy True Believer. As Rush Limbaugh himself admitted, he turns people off by being 'earnest all the time.'

Rubio turns them off by being a phony all the time.
Meanwhile. Fox News is no longer feeling Marco Rubio. For months it's been Marco Rubio news, but now Roger Ailes has begun to give up on him.
Sean Hannity unloaded on Rubio-which he would never have done without the permission of Ailes.

Gotta love how a supposed "News" organization doesn't even try to hide the fact that they are basically a propaganda machine dedicated to expressing the views of their owner.
ReplyDeleteI guess the idea that Fox offers news is so ridiculous that this isn't even news worthy in itself. It'd be like saying the moon isn't made of cheese after all.
Yeah, Tom, I have to be honest, this observation has been made before. LOL
ReplyDeleteI noticed that writer "streif" at RedState echoed my comment in his post there today:
ReplyDelete"Roger Ailes says Fox will no longer back Rubio. And here I thought they were a news organization."
I think its the unreality of it again. Like I said before in a comment about Chris Matthews in the Texas bar with the GOP strategist who seemed shocked that anyone would even suggest that Republicans think Obama is a Muslim or Kenyan... streiff is basically saying "But we're all supposed to pretend Fox is a news organization right? Are we not pretending that anymore? What's going on?" Lol.
