After all, that's what he did to Timothy O'Brien, after the journalist wrote a book that quoted some who estimated that Trump was only worth in the $350 to $450 million dollar range.

It's understandable was so upset. After all, this guy is nothing but his brand. His brand is that he's Donald Trump-a hugely successful businessman. But if he had a fortune of even $450 million that would be pretty embarrassing. It would be proof that he is not very successful at all.
After all, his Dad, Fred Trump-gave him $40 million in 1974 which is about $200 million in 2016 dollars. So for him to have just $450 million now shows he's done very little with his initial inheritance. After all, you could get a much better return than that to put your money in a simple index fund.
So it's understandable why he went after O'Brien.
But what is he going to do to Mark Cuban?
Cuban estimates Trump's fortune at $165 million dollars.
"Businessman and investor Mark Cuban is questioning whether Donald Trump is really a billionaire."
"Cuban said the presumptive GOP presidential nominee is good at putting his name on big buildings in an interview on WABC's "The Bernie and Sid Show," BuzzFeed News reported.
"He's good at that. Whether or not that's made him a billionaire, I don't know," Cuban said. "He's not transparent enough for us to actually know."
Cuban also said that while Trump's real estate projects might be successful, he doesn't believe he's "very good at brands for non-real estate products."
“And, to me, it’s more a reflection of desperation," Cuban said.
“So when you’re putting your name on steaks, and you’re putting your name on water, you’re putting your name on playing cards, you’re putting your name on all this nonsense, right? You’re not gonna make big bucks, no matter what. It’s not like Trump Steaks were gonna make him $100 million. It’s not like they were going make him $5 million."
“I asked, ‘What the hell are you doing? Are you that desperate for money?’ Seriously,” Cuban continued.
He said Trump doesn't have the ability to say no if someone wants to write him a check.
"And I think that's a huge problem."
Cuban also said in the interview that he has more money than Trump.
“Before all the Trumpians jump on me on who has more money, the reason I know is when you file your federal election campaign reports, you have to list all your cash and liquid securities and bonds. You have to list them one by one. So we know without any question that as of May 27, Donald doesn’t have more than $165 million in cash and securities and bonds.
“And trust me, I’ve got a lot more than that in cash, securities and bonds,” he continued. “And so you know, I’m willing to bet dimes against dollars that that’s pretty much what he’s got.”

So does Trump sue Mark Cuban? Of course not. Trying to bully Cuban in a suit wouldn't work. Cuban has the financial wherewithal to outlast Trump's entire $165 million dollar fortune in a couple of days.
As Cuban says, Trump's only real asset is his brand. Ironically this campaign has really damaged the Trump brand. For starters, bookings in Trump Hotels are down 60 percent.

Not surprising. After all, staying in Trump's hotels now are a kind of political choice, about mood affiliation. Most people would rather not be affiliated with what he represents.
