Rush Limbaugh Needs to be Drug Tested

We know about his travails with oxycontin, etc. Maybe he's still on it or something even stronger. But Rush is insisting that Trump has Hillary just where he wants her now.

Sure, she's up 6 to 10 points but she's not up by 40 points so, this is a disaster. Right. If Trump only loses by 6 points, then he's the President as he got so close. Maybe Rush was smoking some blunts with the Bernie Bros still claiming the primary isn't over.

If Rush knew anything about history, he'd know that no American election has ever been 40 points.

A six point win is a blowout in the electoral college. Even Reagan 'only' beat Carter by 9 points in 1980, but this was still good enough for 44 out of 50 states and  470 out of 538 electoral votes.

Red State's Leon Wolf notes Rush's perennial lack of reality:

"I dunno, I guess part of Limbaugh's schtick has always pretty much been to give good news even when there's none to be had I remember in 1996 that he was trying to tell us all how Bob Dole was going to surprise people even though Dole was doomed before the convention gavel even came down. So it's not really all that surprising to see that Trump is out there painting it as a good thing that Trump is only down 6-10 point instead of being down by 30 or 40 points."

HT: Tom Brown.

Rush is basically a Stalinist propagandist out of the Politburo. Yes, he was just as bad in 1996 as now. Never changes. Simply insist that what you and your listeners want to be the truth is the truth.

Being a Dittohead means never having to face reality.

  1. Wolf now takes on Trump's meetup with evangelicals yesterday, and in particular a write up by the AFA:

    1. RedState diarist "StridentConservative" was even harsher than Leon. Here's how he starts off:

"Donald Trump held a closed-door, media-free meeting with the Sadducees and Pharisees--also known as Evangelicals and prosperity gospel con-artists--to discuss the terms of their surrender to his holiness."

  2. Mike, I can't believe I missed it earlier: there's a "g" in Limbaugh (in your title).

Also, I found this to be satisfying: the Resurgent folks don't like being called out as being elitists:

Just one of the many joys afforded to us Republican haters this election: watching GOP factions call each other "elitists" with utter disdain. =)_

  3. As for drug testing, there's representative Steve King (R) as well:

Seems like he might be on the same page as that "Make America White Again" guy.

This kind of thing is exactly what the GOP needs to be tarred and feathered with, so I guess we should be thanking Mr. King and Mr. Trump and Mr. Zeldin (see WaPo article) for that: making it crystal clear to the general electorate voter what the GOP is all about.
