This is the view of the majority of Americans.

Other than that, they think he'll be pretty good.
We've seen the polls go against Trump and for Hillary the last week. There are a few things going on. One, is Trump's problems with the Trump U judge, Trump U more generally and his continued unforced errors-his entire campaign is one long unforced error.
Trump has really hurt himself recently and lacks the campaign structure to turn it around. Turns out running in the general is not the same as in the GOP primary, but Trump refuses to admit this to himself.
Now, he really does need a campaign. Simply tweeting, rallies, and calling into tv shows is no longer sufficient.
The other side of this is Hillary's gains from the nomination ending and the party unifying around her. Now she has all these popular Democratic leaders out campaigning with her-we saw how powerful this is with her and Obama's coordinated attack on Trump yesterday.

Meanwhile, there have been 3 straight Utah polls showing Hillary neck and neck with him-Dems have not won Utah since 1964 which is fitting as Goldwater was something of a proto Trumpian candidate.

Meanwhile Trump is losing ground even among those who are supposed to be Trump voters-males and whites-and he's falling further behind among moderates.

Like Tom Brown said in a comment yesterday, the one worry is that Hillary, Obama, Warren, and the rest of the Dems pummel Trump so badly the refs call the fight before the convention.
