He has a truly terrible idea about a new constitutional convention of the states:
"Shortly after 11 a.m. on the East Coast, Sen. Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign alerted the media to their candidate’s latest position, inspired by the Founding Fathers and by Congress’s seeming inability to pass conservative legislation."
“One of the things I’m going to do on my first day is office is I will put the prestige and power of the presidency behind a constitutional convention of the states,” Rubio said as he campaigned in Iowa.

“You know why? Because that is the only way that we are ever going to get term limits on members of Congress or the judiciary and that is the only way we are ever going to get a balanced-budget amendment.”

So three really bad ideas:
1. A new constitutional convention
2. Term limits
3. A balanced budget amendment
Term limits are a very bad idea-they lead to perpetual rule by amateur. And if a congressperson is term limited this actually decreases their accountability they aren't running for office again, why heed the voice of public opinion? Indeed, even the Roosevelt Amendment-the limit on Presidential terms the GOP passed in 1948 to make sure there is never another FDR-is a bad law and takes away voting rights rather than enhances them.

A balanced budget is self-evidently a bad idea meant to kill in the crib any plans for new social programs or social spending. There is no reason that we should even aim for a balanced budget-as the Obama Administration has now come around to. Historically a small structural deficit is fine.
As for 1, this is what I argue has James Madison-who was co-writer with Alexander Hamilton of the Federalist Papers-turning around in his grave.
He was very clear in the FP that a there should not be another constitutional congress-that this would just keep the US federal government in a constantly weakened state.

O/T: Now that Cliven Bundy has embarrassed the right once by turning out to be an apparent racist, what do you think will happen with his sons in this incident?:

Will Trump embrace them? Will Hannity? Coulter? Levin?
There's surely no gain in being in the GOO primary and repudiating them. I doubt Trump will come out and and embrace them but I very much doubt he'll repudiate them.
