After Cheney Slur I Will Not Vote for Bernie Sanders Even in the General

Sorry, but this is bridge too far. So much for Bernie the nice guy who doesn't do negative campaigning.

"The actual Bernie Sanders quote today is “No one can deny that Secretary Clinton has a lot of foreign-policy experience. But experience does not necessarily equate to judgment. Dick Cheney had a hell of a lot of experience.” If you’re wondering if I’m alone in my interpretation that he’s comparing Hillary to Cheney, the Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch and others have drawn the same conclusion about what he meant. No one on the left invokes Dick Cheney by accident. This time, Bernie can’t merely pretend he spoke poorly. There is no question what he was trying to get across."

No question. Likening a Democrat to Dick Cheney is akin to calling them a child molester.

This is a tired line of Bernie's. Always trying to run against the Iraq War. Hillary made a mistake on that vote, I agree. She realizes it was a mistake and even Obama who was very critical of her vote still chose her for the top foreign policy job-Secretary of State-which is really the QB of foregin policy rather than Defense, though the GOP doesn't understand this-which is why GOP foreign policy is so bad.

Bernie is not a Democrat. He failed to ever build any sort of coalition for a democratic socialist party. He is now using the party to mangle it as the Trump and Cruz have mangled the GOP.

He fails to get the support of anyone even those who agree with him like Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin who also is for single payer. This just shows that Shumlin knows Bernie is a flake. He talks about stuff but never actually manages to get anything executed.

I think that Bernie could well imperil Democrat chances in November. I think Trump very well could beat him. I don't put any stock in polls that show him beating Trump as until recently no one has offered Bernie any criticism or opposition.

It's smart that HRC has started to-now we see what's at stake in this election. It's a choice between someone who knows how to get real things done for people as HRC just did in Flint, Michigan as opposed to Bernie's hollow call for Snyder to step down and a guy who talks a lot about things he'd like to see happen but never got any of it done in Vermont and will have even less chance at the Federal level.

How does someone who has failed to form any coalitions or get anything passed at Congress suddenly get this Congress to do something as President?

No wonder the GOP suddenly is defending single payer.

So I don't think that Bernie can win the general if he were our nominee. But I can say this. Whether he can or not, he will not be getting my vote under any circumstances.

He is just way too much of a True Believer for my taste. I can't imagine him as President. Who will I vote for? I don't know right now. I will vote straight Democrat as I always do except for President.

There, who knows who I would vote for? Maybe not at all. I've somewhat tongue in cheek suggested Trump in the past.

The one thing I like about Trump though is that he's non-ideological. In his own way he's a pragmatist and knows how to get deals done. Bernie surely doesn't.

He is the Ted Cruz of the Left.
