I'd argue since early in her campaign. For months the Beltway press has hit her with the fake Emailgate scandal-which is the product of the Benghazi Committee and Citizen's United, Judicial Watch and similar Right wing legal groups.
There are now literally 18 different judges hearing these fake FOIA requests unleashed by Citizen''s United and friends.
However, this week she finally caught a break from the press' avalanche of leaked half stories from Trent Gowdy.
Many had argued that the GOP would rue its loss of Boehner-even as many Tea Partiers danced on his grave. For instance, Sean Trende had warned them and even suggested that this could leave the Dems an outside shot of taking back the House-something that has been considered impossible until the next 2020 Census.

I had suspected that he was right but I never expected him to be right this fast. .Now it's gotten so bad that some are questioning whether he is a lock for Speaker anymore. Lauran Ingraham is the latest conservative to say he's not the man for the job.
"Beyond obv that Establ needs to pull the plug on both @JebBush & @GOPLeader McCarthy. They are both in over their heads."
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/kevin-mccarthy-laura-ingraham-benghazi
She also called out Jeb for good measure who seems to be replaying all the GOP oldies but not so goodies. First it was Free Stuff-a la Mitt Romney-but Stuff Happens is even worse as it hearkens back to one of the lowest points in his brother's Administration-which is saying something as the entire eight years was one long low point.

With McCarthy's admission-I get the sense that he's going to be the gift that keeps on giving for the Dems-Hillary is already well on her way to pushing back against Emailgate. If the Benghazi Committee is discredited then anything it reveals about Emailgate is discredited.
These leaks aren't going to be taken with the same the credulity they were in the past. Already the GOP has been booed in public trying to defend Benghazi.

With Emailgate now under attack she has been able to break in on her actual policy agenda which after all is what the election is supposed to be about. She came out strong against voter suppression in Alabama.
"Hillary Clinton slammed the closure of 31 driver's license offices in Alabama -- many in majority-black counties -- as "a blast from the Jim Crow past."
"The closures, announced this week, hit majority-black counties especially hard. Under Alabama's new tougher version of its voter ID law, voters must have a photo ID, such as a driver's license, to vote. Every Alabama county with at least 75 percent African American registered voters will lose its DMV office, according to local reports."
"This is only going to make it harder for people to vote," Clinton said in a statement Friday. "It's a blast from the Jim Crow past."
"Clinton has made voting rights a major platform of her presidential campaign. Alabama has defended the DMV closures, saying that there are other options for residents to obtain an ID that will enable them to vote."
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/clinton-alabama-voter-id
While there was yet another horrible gun tragedy in a community college in Oregon, it does remind us of another very important reason we need Hillary nowhere but in the Oval Office. A woman's place is in the Oval Office.
She is very strong on gun control and is the only candidate-including Bernie-who is honestly willing to change something about gun control. Bernie just wants us not to shout at each other.

"Just a day after a deadly school shooting in Oregon, Hillary Clinton is coming out swinging against the National Rifle Association and the republican party for their ongoing attempts at blocking the common-sense gun control that most Americans on both sides of the aisle now say they want. She started immediately after the incident by restating her position, “Another devastating shooting. We need sensible gun control measures to save lives, and I will do everything I can to achieve that.” But today she’s gone even further, and made clear that she plans to bury the NRA if she’s elected President."
“What is wrong with us,” asked Hillary Clinton on Twitter this afternoon, “that we can’t stand up to the NRA and the gun lobby and the gun manufacturers they represent?” It’s the most strikingly anti-NRA stance that any modern candidate for President from either party has ever taken. She’s no doubt aware that the NRA will now target her with millions of dollars in television ads aimed at trying to make gun owners afraid that she’s coming after all their guns. But she isn’t backing down. She’s also throwing shade on the tired old “our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families” refrain which is so often used as an empty excuse for not taking action."
http://www.dailynewsbin.com/news/hillary-clinton-comes-out-swinging-against-nra-after-latest-school-shooting/22685/
She is stepping on the third rail in politics in taking on the gun manufacturers.
However, what she says here is even more important:
“I was proud when my husband took [the National Rifle Association] on, and we were able to ban assault weapons, but he had to put a sunset on so 10 years later. Of course [President George W.] Bush wouldn’t agree to reinstate them,” said Clinton.
“We’ve got to go after this,” Clinton continued. “And here again, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”
By the way the author if this post misses the point when he says this:
"All Clinton is doing is courting the most progressive elements of the Democratic base, which yearns for a candidate that will challenge the NRA and enact new gun control laws. In reality, Clinton rhetoric on SCOTUS being wrong on the Second Amendment, and her pledge to “make that case every chance I get,” is the definition of pie-in-the-sky. You need a functioning state-based Democratic political apparatus to place pressure on localities and state legislatures to change the guns laws, file lawsuits, and hope that the Supreme Court will hear arguments again on the Second Amendment. As it’s been reported before, state-based Democratic parties are all but finished in some states."
Yes a lot of work is needed at the state level though this at least is now beginning to be understood by the Democratic donors and activists.
But he's missing her implication: if she's elected President she may well be appointing 2 to 3 new Supreme Court Justices-hardly pie in the sky. So that's how I read her reference to SJC.
The issue of gun control is an area where she can clearly differentiate herself from Bernie. Another issue is immigration.
http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/10/illegal-immigrants-could-elect-hillary-clinton-213216
Indeed, Bernie is having a tough time connecting with Latinos-which when you consider his rhetoric and record on immigration is not surprising. Its gotten so bad he's had to hire a special Latino Outreach Officer-who seems to have it in for Democrats.
So why is he supporting Bernie who is running in the Democratic primary then?

"Given the massive and relentless political assault on Clinton, she should be, as much of the media giddily taunts, a political dead duck. This isn't and has never been even remotely the case. Polls now show that Clinton has a commanding lead over Bernie Sanders and would have an equally commanding lead over Biden if, despite the near hysterical begging and pleading for him to jump in the race, he ever did."

“I’m going to speak out, I’m going to do everything I can to rally people against this pernicious, corrupting influence of the NRA and we’re going to do whatever we can,” she said.
Clinton argued that the NRA has “so intimidated elected members of Congress and other legislative bodies that these people are passing the most absurd laws.”
“The idea that you can have an open carry permit with an AK-47 over your shoulder walking up and down the aisles of a supermarket is just despicable,” she said.

Finally while the media falls all over cherrypicked polls that show her numbers in the worst light-like the outlier from the Wall Street Journal last week that showed her only leading Bernie by 7 points, most polls show her with a much more comfortable lead as does this latest CNN poll

By the way, I should say this is an excellent piece and I recommend the whole thing very highly-the author is a co-host of Al Sharpton's weekly show.
He makes about as comprehensive and through a case for Hillary as any I've seen.
As David Brock says we Hillary supporters must buck up. We can't afford to wet the bed as she needs us.
