Hillary Clinton's Sweeping Platform for LGBT Americans

Some will razz her for 'evolving' on gay marriage-and other LGBT issues-as President Obama did as well.

"Hillary Clinton hasn't always been in favor of same-sex marriage, but she pledged Saturday to push a sweeping platform on LGBT rights as president in a speech to the Human Rights Campaign in Washington."

"Clinton vowed to upgrade the service records of former LGBT servicemembers who were dishonorably discharged under "don't ask, don't tell," increase the legal protection of transgender Americans and endorsed the Federal Equality Act, a law that would update the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to protect LGBT Americans."

"Try to imagine Hillary sitting on the Oval Office in January, 2017. Pretty great image, huh? Well bear in mind that she will be able to appoint two or three SJC judges who will not be hostile to civil rights of LGBT-bear in mind that current Roberts' Court has literally rolled back the 1964, act striking down Clause 4 which it said was no longer necessary-and then that very day a bunch of the old Southern states previously covered under C4 put in some brand new harsh voter restrictions."
I know the Bernie Maniacs brag that he was always for gay marriage. Ok though he was also always a friend of the NRA so talking about 'always' goes both ways.
But I for one don't think Hillary insincere just because she has evolved. I've evolved myself. I mean I used to think that civil unions were sufficent.
And thanks to the President's move, we have seen a shcoking change in the Afircan American community.
Which proves that evolution does happen. Not all of us got this at the start of Creation but that matters is if you change and evolve.
The idea that you have the same ideas always on everything is for the reactionary Right.
"Clinton also addressed Kim Davis, the county clerk in Kentucky who made news over the summer for her refusal to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples."

"Clinton said Davis was "breaking the law by denying other Americans their constitutional rights" and slammed presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee -- though not by name -- for "standing in the courthouse door in Kentucky calling for people to join him in resisting a Supreme Court ruling."

Speaking of Kim Davis, the Pope isn't happy being set up.

Another group that Hillary does well with: undocumented immigrants.
