Walker has been saying some desperate things which is understandable as his campaign is doing rather desperately bad.

Yesterday he one upped Trump by saying why stop at a wall to Mexico-why not have a big, beautiful wall for Canada as well?
Asked on “Meet the Press” whether the United States should consider building a wall to secure its northern border, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said that was “a legitimate issue for us to look at.”

Jeb slams him on it
"One of Jeb Bush's top political surrogates slammed Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker as "distracted" for his latest video in which Walker's campaign contrasted his strong opposition to the Iran deal to others, particularly Bush."
"Jeb strongly opposes Iran deal. Walker distracted; focused on his plan to build wall with... Canada," Mike Murphy, the head of the pro-Bush Right to Rise super PAC, tweeted in response to a POLITICO reporter's tweet about the ad. The remark referenced Walker's interview with NBC's Chuck Todd on Sunday in which he suggested that building a wall between the U.S. and Canada is a "legitimate idea" in addition to one with Mexico.

But notice how he slams it: he doesn't criticize the idea as ludicrous but as somehow distracting from criticism of the Iran deal.
But now Walker says he didn't mean it. So what does 'that's a legitimate issue for us to look at' mean then.
A spokeswoman for Walker's campaign said that he wasn't calling for a wall specifically, he was just expressing concern over the issue.
"Despite the attempts of some to put words in his mouth, Gov. Walker wasn't advocating for a wall along our northern border. Chuck asked about it and Gov. Walker said based on what he's hearing from people there are security concerns that need to be addressed," AshLee Strong said to POLITICO.
The Wisconsin governor received some heat for the comments, including from Canada's defense minister Jason Kenney who fired back during a press conference Sunday saying the relatively open border was key for trade partnerships, and that the country would "vigorously oppose any thickening of the border.”

A lot was made that Ben Carson has tied Trump in one poll in Iowa yesterday-Is this the end for Trump's fall? What was far worse is the news for the numbers of the establishment candidates-Walker, Rubio, Jeb.
Together they don't have 20% while Trump and Carson are getting 40%, 45%, 47% in every poll combined.
"A new Monmouth University poll of potential Iowa caucus-goers shows Donald Trump and Ben Carson tied for the lead with 23 points each. So everything is going just as the Republican Party planned."
