We Finally Get What Trump Means by Political Correctness

He simply means anti discrimination policy. To be politically correct in his view is simply to respect and value civil rights.

I want to be very clear on this point: Trump is a racist and a sexist. He is a bigot. Not he says some racist or sexist, or bigoted things. I mean if you insist on empirical evidence,at this point, fine. It's just that there is such an embarrassment of riches, where do I begin?

We know he's a sexist because of what he said about Hillary Clinton: that if she were a man she'd get 5 percent of the vote. That tells us, he never believes any female candidate is actually qualified.

He also stated that his Vice President will be a white male, anything else is 'pandering.' At this point, my assertion is already airtight. Trump is a sexist, he is a racist, and he is a bigot. Not says a few things that aren't so good. Or says some things that could be read wrong, or even 'says some racist things' as if that still doesn't prove he's a racist.

Donald Trump like his father, Fred Trump, is a racist.

He is telling us that he is discriminating in his choice of VP. No, when you are considering candidates for any position you don't have to pick a woman or person of color. Of course not.

Arguably you should consider the Rooney Rule-in the NFL the idea is that you at least interview one qualified black candidate.

Whether you can or should always do that is debatable. But to say you won't consider women or POC is racism, sexism, and bigotry, full stop.

And in his attack on his Trump U judge, we see the same dynamic at work. While he questions the judge's Americanness-because his parents were from Mexico, Trump is showing that he himself is not an American in his attitude.

Being American is not about blood, or who your father and grandfather were. That's an older European notion of citizenship. We see this in the attack on the judge. And now he gives us further evidence with his latest declaration: a Muslim judge also couldn't 'treat him fairly.'

"Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump broadened his objections to the judiciary on Sunday, saying in an interview it was “absolutely” possible that he’d be treated unfairly by a Muslim judge."

"During an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Trump continued his overtly racist tirade against U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who unsealed documents this week revealing predatory practices by salespeople at the now-defunct Trump University."

"Trump claimed the judge, who was born in Indiana, treated him in a “hostile manner” due to the judge’s Mexican heritage."

“I think it has a lot to do with it. First of all, I’ve had terrible rulings forever,” Trump said. “This is a case I should’ve won on summary judgment.”

“He is a member of a club or society, very strongly pro-Mexican, which is all fine,” he added, referencing Curiel’s membership in La Raza Lawyers of California. “But I say he’s got bias. I want to build a wall. I’m going to build a wall.”

Asked if he believed that he would be treated unfairly by a Muslim judge because of his call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, Trump said, “It’s possible.”

“It’s possible, yes,” he said. “That would be possible, absolutely.”

Let's be clear, Trump is running against the civil rights laws LBJ passed. LBJ also passed our modern immigration system which took off the very tight quotas against nonwhite immigration.

The huge growth of Hispanic Americans is directly attributable to LBJ"s immigration reform act which was part of his Great Society passed in 1965.

Trump is pushing for an older anti immigration and racist tradition. This is not accidental. David Duke and other white nationalist groups who support him are not dupes. Those who believe that they are turn out to be the dupes.
