Hilary Clinton is Now the First US Woman to Win a Major Party Nomination

So says the AP, but RealClearPolitics also has her at 2383. So it's a done deal.

Bernie has been pretty crabbie today. He's getting testy when he was called out for playing the spoiler.

"Crabby Sanders insists he’s not ruining Clinton’s moment

As Clinton revels in the idea of making history as the first female presidential nominee, Sanders contends he’s not being a spoiler.

Well Bernie's going to get just a little bit crabbier.

Indeed, he's' not a spoiler, as she has already won the nomination.

"Hillary Clinton has earned enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic nominee, making her the first woman ever to win a major party nomination, the Associated Press reported on Monday night."

"A combination of pledged and superdelegates put Clinton over the mark in her contest against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to the AP count."

Of course, the media has to try to rain on the parade warning about Bernie Sanders.

"But given her reliance on superdelegates to reach a majority, Sanders has vowed to wage a bitter battle all the way to the Democratic National Convention in July, insisting that nothing is official until the ballots are tallied in Philadelphia."

This is actually false. I got in an argument with Steve Kornacke earlier. He was not happy with me calling him on buying Bernie's silly narrative.

Politico is doing the same thing here. She actually is going to have enough pledged delegates after tomorrow night. She currently has 1812 and needs only 214 to reach 50.1% of pledged delegates.

Seeing as there are more than 700 delegates in play tomorrow that will certainly happen.

At the end of the day, the naysayers wether the GOP, Bernie and his Bros and the Hillary hating Beltway all have egg on their faces as Hillary Clinton is the 2016 Democratic nominee.

They kept saying she was a weak candidate, that no one really likes her, and that we Hillary supporters are hardly enthusiastic. At the end of the day we've shown them who is enthusiastic.

What's next? DailyNewsBin:

"Hillary Clinton has big plans to clinch the 2016 Democratic Party nomination on Tuesday evening when the polls close in New Jersey so she can give her acceptance speech from her home base in Brooklyn that night. But as it turns out the delegate math has indeed gotten ahead of her plans. According to an on-air report from Chris Hayes on MSNBC at 8:25pm eastern time Monday evening, the Associated Press recanvassed the delegate count today and confirmed that she’s already over the top. In other words, she is now officially the democratic nominee. So what now?
It’s likely that Clinton will proceed with her original plan, declining to officially refer to herself as the democratic nominee until the polls close in the New Jersey primary on Tuesday night, so that she can allow the public voting there to push her further over the top. But there’s no escaping the fact that she is now in fact the nominee."

"President Obama is reportedly traveling to New York this week in order to coordinate with Hillary Clinton on an endorsement and a party unification effort. As it turns out, that effort just got accelerated by around twenty-four hours. The AP has now followed up the announcement on Twitter."

So Hillary is the nominee. It's a perfect moment missing just one thing. Maureen Dowd. If only I could share this moment with the Queen of all Hillary haters. Or maybe Camille Paglia
