Trump Finally Finds a GOPer to Support Him: Dick Cheney

A lot of prominent conservatives and Republicans are refusing to support him while others like Paul Ryan are dithering.

Lindsay Graham says he will support neither Trump or Hillary-which actually is kind of backhanded support for Hillary.

George W. Bush, his dad and brother are not supporting Trump. But here comes W's VP in for Trump.

"Former Vice President Dick Cheney will support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president, he told CNN on Friday."

"A person familiar with Cheney's thinking reiterated his statement that he will support the nominee of his party, as he always has."

I wonder if this means he will be at the convention.

In a sense this is very surprising as critical as Trump has been of W-and Cheney-for 'lying us into Iraq.'

But maybe Cheney appreciates Trump's full-throated support of waterboarding and 'worse.'

Most important, is Cheney may realize that this is his chance to get back into the spotlight. Since he and W left office, Republicans have not been willing to be seen with him in public.

In 2011 the GOP Congress wanted to talk to him. When he appeared, no cameras were allowed into the  room.

Donald Trump may be the one guy more toxic publicly than Cheney. Maybe he'll be willing to be seen with him in public. I'm not sure if Cheney is less unpopular than Trump actually. He is very, very unpopular.

  1. Maybe he's looking to be Trump's running mate? Lol.

Another possibility: he's purposely sabotaging Trump by supporting him.

    1. Maybe they can waterboard a random Muslim at the convention together: as a demonstration.... or if they can't find one, any "Maccaca" should do. Remember "Maccaca?"... George Allen: a man ahead of his time.

And if Cheney's not available, there's still David Duke.
