Now Bernie is Lashing Out at the Oregon Primary Process

Not as if his supporters haven't done enough damage in Nevada.

Bernie has yet to condemn the violence and threats of death perpetuated by his Berners over the weekend.

Now he's already preemptively blaming the Oregon primary setup-closed primary-in case he loses tonight. Sure. Bernie, way to poison the well again.

"Sen. Bernie Sanders acknowledged Monday that he has been hurt by Oregon’s restrictive rules on primary voters, but he said he remained confident of victory if Democrat turnout is high."

“We do much better when independents are allowed to vote,” Sanders said in a telephone interview. He noted that many of his supporters were “non-traditional voters” who often register as non-affiliated.

"In Oregon, only voters registered as Democrats at least 21 days in advance of Tuesday’s election deadline can participate in the party’s primary. That may be one factor driving last week’s surprising poll showing Hillary Clinton leading Sanders in Oregon."

"Sanders didn’t challenge the poll results but said he thinks he will win if turnout is high. As of Monday morning, 37 percent of Democrats had returned their mail ballot, according to the Oregon Elections Division."

"Turnout would have to double by 8 p.m. Tuesday to equal the 75 percent who voted in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary between Clinton and Barack Obama. That year, just under 40 percent of voters turned in their ballot in the last two days."

There is nothing undemocratic about a closed primary that requires you to join the party to get to choose it's nominee.
It''s doubly fair in Oregon as most Oregon voters chose to have the primaries closed.

Oregon voted on an open primary 2/3 of the voters rejected it."

One more reason to love the people of Oregon.

P.S. At present Hillary seems to have a decent chance at winning Kentucky. Oregon is expected to be Bernie's. But the only poll as mentioned above has her leading by double digits.

It would be particularly pungent for Bernie to lose Oregon tonight.

On the other hand don't fall into the MSM's trap that Hillary has to win at least Kentucky tonight or this represents some existential threat to her entire candidacy.
In 2008, Hillary defeated Obama in 9 of the last 12 primaries and this didn't stop him from winning. She has a considerably more formidable lead than even he had then. At the end of the day, she's 140 delegates from the prize and win or lose tonight, she will be even closer when it's over.
