Alicia Machado Will Enjoy Casting a Vote and So Will Hillary Clinton

After all, we  know who Ms. Machado will not be voting for:

"Hillary Clinton wants Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado to enjoy casting her first vote as an American citizen, because she knows it will not be for Donald Trump."

"Congratulations on becoming a U.S. citizen, Alicia. Enjoy casting that vote," a tweet from Clinton's campaign account said Friday afternoon, linking to a video of an "Inside Edition" report broadcast the previous day in which Machado, who is originally from Venezuela, recalled Trump referring to her as "Miss Piggy" for gaining weight and "Miss Housekeeping" for her English skills."

"During that interview, Machado laughed when asked if she would vote for Trump. “He can’t be a president," Machado said.

And Trump claims that Bill Clinton is a predator.

Not to worry. Trump's secret plan to win the woman's vote is to have his daughter vouch that he is not a groper.

I don't know about you, but I find that reassuring.

Jamelle Bouie is another liberal who has had his fill of Bernie Sanders.

My take is Bernie has every right to go through to the last vote is counted-next June in Cali. Hillary did indeed do the same. The question is what happens then. She at that point accepted reality and started her work to unify the party. She also had taken it easy on Obama on the campaign in the last days.

If Bernie after the last vote when he's still way behind and she has way more than the 2382 she needs-she is currently only 89 shorts-goes beyond that point for some sort of convention fight then he truly is going over the line. He is already losing people-even some Bernie supporters like Charles Pierce.

He loses everyone but a few Bernie or Bust diehards if he doesn't accept the result after June 7-or June 14 if you insist on the fiction that he somehow could turn it around in Washington DC.

I think Greg Sargent's attempt at a more optimistic view may be correct. Maybe Bernie is going to push through till the last primaries, but after that will accept the choice for the voters-which is clearly for Hillary Clinton.

But we will have to 'trust but verify.'

There is some consternation that some polls have shown a closer race between Hillary and Trump. This is not a surprise. He is now the presumed nominee. She is in fact the same but it is not quite official yet.

Next month, after she wins California as seems likely she will get a bounce herself as Trump currently has.

Just keep in mind-this is probably as good as it gets for Trump and he still trails. And the NY Times poll has him trailing by more again.

With all the talk of expanding the map, he seems to be expanding it for the Dems as states like Georgia, Arizona-and according to Benchmark Politics, even Mississippi are now 'neutral.'
