Guns don't kill people unless you're at a Trump hotel.
"Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump regularly calls for getting rid of gun-free zones. However, if the real estate magnate is to succeed in his quest, he’ll have to start with places like Trump-branded hotels and golf courses."
"For years, the New York businessman has boisterously voiced his opposition to gun-free zones. In a 2014 interview with the Washington Times, Trump criticized the Aurora theater where James Holmes massacred 12 people and injured 70 more for being a gun-free zone. “If some of the people in the movie theater had a gun, they’d have been shooting at him,” he said. “Nobody had a gun so they were totally defenseless.”
"Getting rid of gun-free zones has also been a regular talking point for Trump on the campaign trail. “We have to get rid of that whole gun-free zone nonsense and just stop it,” Trump declared during a speech in Charleston, South Carolina on July 21. “We gotta stick up for the Second Amendment.” He made a similar call on Twitter days earlier following the shootings at two military centers that left five individuals, as well as the gunman, dead."

Remember when Tom Brown's wet dream was the RNC being forced to make the convention a gun free zone? I believe that did happen at one point but later the RNC backed away from it.
On the other hand, Trump believes climate change is true after all-on his gulf course.
"AND TRUMP THINKS CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL — ON HIS GOLF COURSE: Trump says climate change is a “hoax,” but Politico reports that he is taking steps to defend one of his golf courses from its effects:
"The New York billionaire is applying for permission to erect a coastal protection works to prevent erosion at his seaside golf resort, Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, in County Clare. A permit application for the wall, filed by Trump International Golf Links Ireland and reviewed by POLITICO, explicitly cites global warming and its consequences — increased erosion due to rising sea levels and extreme weather this century — as a chief justification for building the structure."
"So it turns out this “hoax” should be taken seriously when it threatens the Donald’s business interests. At what point will Trump’s supporters begin to realize that they are getting scammed?"

At what point? Surely this is in jest.
Finally I am seeing the value of libertarianism. Or at least of Sumner's favorite candidate Gary Johnson.
"Two former Republican governors are running for president and vice president on the Libertarian line. They are Gary Johnson, former New Mexico governor, and William Weld, former governor of Massachusetts. The Libertarian Party holds its nominating convention in Orlando, Florida, over Memorial Day weekend."
"The Libertarian Party could play the spoiler role in 2016 for Donald Trump, just as Ralph Nader did in 2000, but this time helping to tip the election to the Democrat."
"Its minor-party counterpart on the left, the Green Party led by standard bearer Jill Stein, is far less likely to draw a comparable level of support from disaffected Bernie Sanders supporters. Sanders himself has already said he’ll support the Democratic nominee."
"Unlike the typical third party candidates, Johnson and Weld are experienced mainstream politicians. Johnson, a former construction company entrepreneur, served two terms from 1994 to 2002, winning both elections by ten points. Weld was a highly popular and moderate governor of the Bay State. He won re-election by the largest margin in state history in 1994."
"Polls are notoriously unreliable on third-party campaigns, especially this early in an election year, when low name recognition understates appeal. But it looks as if the Libertarians could easily take 5 to 10 percent of the total vote and more in key states. Almost all of this will come at the expense of Donald Trump."
"A Fox poll conducted Friday had support for Johnson at surprising 10 percent of the national vote."
