No reason to think there will be any chaos at the GOP convention.
Since Ryan said he's 'not ready' to support Trump 'yet', Trump has been going after Ryan. Now Ryan says he's happy to step down as convention chairman if that is Trump's desire. I don't get the idea that Ryan minds this so much. He may even view this as a get out of jail free card.
I talked in my last post about a GOP Holy War over Trump.

But a big issue in deciding whether you support Trump is bearing in mind is that he's run a white nationalist campaign.
This is a big part of why so many top GOPers aren't willing to show up at the convention. I suspect that for this reason, Ryan is maybe even hoping Trump does ask him exactly that.
This is important to keep in mind when he meets with Trump this coming Thursday. Does he even want to be seen in public with Trump? If not, then he may not even want to unify.
But if Ryan is not the convention chairman, this just leads to the chances of chaos at the convention.
"Trump and Ryan will meet in Washington on Thursday to see whether they can hash out their differences following a bombshell interview Ryan gave last week in which he said Trump still has to mend fences and earn his support."
"They’re under pressure to make nice. Ryan’s No. 2 and No. 3, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), have broken with him on his approach to Trump. Both said last week they’d support Trump."
"And two Republican whips, Reps. Dennis Ross of Florida and Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia, told Politico last week they weren’t sure what Ryan was thinking — though House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington state has echoed Ryan’s position on the mogul."
"Ryan is wary of Trump’s rhetoric as well as his policy pitches that have included temporarily banning Muslims from the U.S. and putting up trade barriers that Ryan thinks would hurt the economy. And Ryan has strongly objected to Trump’s comments about Hispanics and his refusal to initially disavow support from white supremacist David Duke."

It's fitting that Steve Scalise supports Trump as he didn't disavow David Duke's support either. Similarly, a GOP Congressman who said Trump is Mussolini, now says he will vote for him.

I guess he doesn't think Mussolini is such a bad guy.
Trump is arguing that maybe he doesn't need to unify the Republican party. I love that he believes that. But then I'm a Democrat.
