I understand that he probably won't. So Hillary and the Democrats literally have a big attack line everyday until the election.
I was surprised to see Jamelle Bouie agree with John Dickerson that Trump's tax returns are no big deal as Hillary used a private email, so tit for tat.
First of all, this is complete false equivalence. She has released 33 years of tax returns. Yet, Bouie agreed with the rest of the panel that somehow, Trump is a 'different type of candidate' and so doesn't have to play the the normal rules.
In other words, hold Hillary to these rules but not Trump. Can you imagine a more ludicrous framing to accept? If Hillary and Trump are going to be judged by different rules, then basically the media will be biased in favor of Trump the whole way through.
I have no idea why Bouie says that tax returns aren't fertile ground.
1. The Dems employed it very successfully against Romney in 2012.
2. There is surely much more to see in Trump's returns than even Romney's. We can for starters figure out whether or not Trump has really been audited 14 years in a row. We can also see if he has every paid taxes-even in one single year.
3. The idea that hitting Trump's tax returns won't work, ignores the fact that:
A) The GOP primary electorate is very different than the general electorate
B) It wasn't tried in any case. Not until very late in the game did the GOP opponents try any oppo on Trump.
The tax returns thing was mentioned in a George Will column but never employed.
Trump's tax returns are a gold mine and should literally be discussed every day until election day-or unless he releases them. Whichever is first-which everything tells us will be election day.
Off topic, Reince Priebus sounded more or less in pure denial on the morning shows today.
Nobody cares that Trump acted so bizarrely in the early 90s in pretending to be his own publicist, Reince insists. This was 25 years ago.

Nobody cares about how he's treated women, that he's been a serial philanderer and multiple times has behaved inappropriately with female employees, etc.
No. Somehow that's not 'fair game' like Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. While Hillary should answer questions about her husband's affairs-that happened in the past that Reince says doesn't matter-Trump need not answer for his own affairs.

Surprise, surprise: Phil Robertson (Cruz guy) has decided to back Trump. I hope that Trump eventually waffles on his abortion stance to make this backwoods bearded blow-hard Bible-thumping freak look like the chump that he is.
